Great list.
One game that hardly ever gets mentioned is the 2001 Auburn game.
That was a hostile crowd, and had a lot on the line. Not necessarily the loudest in the middle of the game, but it was hostile as shite. Death Valley crowd was out for blood.
Cigar game from 1999
AU stomping on the eye pregame
Saban's onside kick to start the game
Michael Clayton spearing the AU player on the kickoff
Damon Duval getting beatup by the Tiger Band
Chad Lavalais blowing up Cadillac Williams on that 4th down.
Winning the SEC-West Outright.

That 1972 Auburn game is overlooked. Two top ten teams, we scored touchdowns the first four times we had the ball.
I was at that game. Although Bert Jones may have had better statistics in some other games, this was one of Jones’s best played games in a Tiger uniform. Jones’s had 10 completions out of 14 attempts for 179 yards with 3 td passes to wr Gerald Keigley, and in addition Jones rushed for 61 yards. Jones was named SEC back of the week for his performance. The legendary Auburn coach, Shug Jordan said after the game:
“If anybody had told me before the game that LSU would run over and around us and pass at will, I never would have believed it, but they did. Jones shelled us with his passing.”
This was Auburn’s only loss that season and it cost them the SEC title and national ranking. BAMA finished with a 7-1 conference record edging out Auburn with a 6-1 conference record. LSU finished the regular season 4-1-1 in the conference. Auburn would eventually finish the season ranked #5, and LSU, #11. [Interestingly, BAMA played 8 conference games that season, Auburn, 7, and LSU, 6.]

Hell yeah! Great game. I caught up with Tubberville after the game sitting by himself in a van trying to leave the stadium. I puffed a cigar right there in front of him. He kept trying to ignore me but finally acknowledged me with a nod like he was saying " OK..you got me"
Auburn fans whined after the game that we made them fear for their safety. Bunch of babies. Funny, I used to hate Tubberville...now I kind of miss playing against his teams. Always great games.

That game came very close to making my list. I remember Troy Twillie had been disciplined by Dinardo earlier in the season and missed some games. He made the last second interception in the endzone that sealed the victory.
We were seated right next to the band. The elevation he got on that interception - I think he was up to about eye level for me. Whatever his "official" vertical leap was, I bet he was higher by 2 to 3 inches on that pick.

Yeah, I remember this one (AU 72)and that year was of course the last (-)second win vs OM and lost @ Gumps the next week, and tied UF in GV, then barely won the Greenies on a shoestring tackle at the GL in Tul S. Lost in Bluebonnet Bowl to Tenn? Why was UF so late, was that a hurricane makeup?

Yeah, that always po'ed Jones. Not sure if it was a rumor but I heard Jones once said his greatest moment at LSU was graduating. He hated Cholly Mac's two QB system. It did suck.

like the list. i would including beating Bama for the first time since the 60's at home in that top 10.

I know it's not a win but the
1976 6-6 tie against No.1 Nebraska has to rank up there pretty high IMO

Yeah, the Tiger defender just slipped and A&M reciever was home free to the EZ at the buzzer! Went on a tear that year until 3-0 loss to a great ND team in SB!

In 1970 Buddy Lee was the starting qb for the Tigers. Jones was a soph and got to split some time with him.

Butch Duhe had passed away from am aneurysm or brain hemmorhage the week before. LSU led 18-13 until Lex James threw up a prayer that Carl Roaches scored on - quietest moment in DV history.
Were tied with ND at South Bend at 0-0 and I think either Casanova or Burns dropped an INT off of Theisman that could have been a pick 6.
ND kicked the winning FG.
AP stated that "If ND is #1, LSU is #1A.
I think that was the same weekend Dempsey kicked his 63 yard FG...
DESTROYED Ole Miss 61-17 on Dec. 5 on ABC Primetime with Chris Schenkel and Lee Grosscup.
Led #1 Nebraska 12-10 late in '71 Orange Bowl and were driving, but Jones ran his own play on 3rd down instead of McClendon's, and I believe he threw an INT or we were forced to punt. Lost 17-12 on Tagge QB sneak near the end.

28-8 beatdown of Notre Dame showed the entire country what Tiger Stadium was about

Mrs. Blueridge and I were sitting low in the south endzone and had a close up view of that play. Thiesman's pass bounced right off Casanova's chest. I captured a fortuitous shot of that play as it was developing.

Great photo. That's #37 Casanova at the bottom. Looks like the pass is headed at him. Look at all the Tigers chasing Theismann. That's the way our D always played back then. Yellow hats all over the guy with the ball.

Agree with list, but 79 #1, and to me personally no other game comes close. There was just something so special about that game, not even I can explain it exactly.

1971 game against Notre Dame must be in top 10. ND's first visit ever to Tiger Stadium It was the most anticipated game in my 45 years of attending games. The atmosphere rivaled that of the USC game (I was at both).

I would sum up my experience like this:
Greatest Game - 1979 vs USC
Greatest Victory - 1997 vs FLA
Greatest Moment - 1972 Bert Jones to Brad Davis vs Ole Miss
