Yes, I was in a car around Lake Ocochobee Fl, and I seem to remember the Miami based radio station on which were listening talking about Morris not being a HR threat.

1958 was the season we won the national championship. (We played Clemson in the Sugar Bowl but the NC was determined by the regular season.)

It was 1959 that the punt return by Cannon was made. Tennessee beat us in the regular season and Ole Miss beat us 20-0 in the bowl game the same year. (or Jan. 1, 1960)

Bluegrass Miracle was caught by Devry Henderson.

Your humor escapes some people.

Morris Home Run
Billy Cannon Run
Hodson to Fuller

The night I hit a half court shot in an Intramural game!

i am somewhat certain you don't want to argue LSU sports with me.

i was listening to it on the radio when it happened, and it was clearly hunt that caught the ball.

and win the game on a kickoff return at the end

It was a punt return, not a kickoff return, and it was not at the end of the game.

There was actually quite a bit of football played after the game with Billy Cannon in on a big defensive play to seal the game

OK, it was a Hawthorne shot. Now I get. My apologies.

"Thats short fly ball to right field, and that one's gone."

If Jim Hawthorne is the greatest LSU sportscaster of all time as many posters on this site believe, then it MUST have been Jack Hunt.

Best single effort in a game goes to Cannon against Ole Miss.

Warren Morris gets the biggest single play in LSU Sports history.

Wonder if WM goes through a single day w/o having to answer questions about his Series winning HR?

I would think not.
