Having teams travel to 3 straight neutral site bowl games is asinine
This is what Oregon will face. How about that for a reward being the number one team and the only team undefeated this season?

Agreed. Or at a minimum to the final 4.

Then there would be controversy over rankings with someone being ranked five that thinks they should be top four. There’s nothing you could do to take out bitching from this when there’s so many entitled programs that think they’re the best.

2nd round and on are bowl sites. Unless you are wanting to get rid of those bowl games being apart of the playoffs, then they are doing it right. 1st rd higher seed gets to host and after neutral

The difference is teams travelling south to play can heat the indoor facility. There is no chance for a southern team to prepare for a 15 degree game. Its a huge advantage. Gripping the ball is harder, kicking is harder, every hot hurts more, deep breathing can take you out of the game for a play or two.
There is a reason most southern teams stopped travelling north after october.

I’d rather see an 8 team playoff - higher seeds at home in first round; neutral for semis and final.
