Yep and it worries me, because the broadcasts are awful, and it's not the fault of the commentators. They are literally reacting to seeing what we see on TV, and if you have a situation where the camera angles and operators are god awful like at Oregon, then you're fricked.

I don’t think this is going away. The big games will still have the broadcast teams on site but I am willing to bet the smaller games will continue to have it done through streaming. It will be a way for the networks to save money on travel and equipment. I imaging the upkeep on the home studios is relatively inexpensive.
