I don’t get still having Crews in CF. Gio is our best defensive center fielder and it isn’t close.

Crews has plenty of range and a good arm. He’s a leader of this team who will start every day. No reason to move him around.

I love Crews and of course he should start every day but in RF. I hate leaving an elite CF, probably best in the conference, on the bench or RF.
ETA: I’d love for either Doughty or Merrifield to get a look at SS so you can bench Thompson and have Berry at 3B Gio in center.

My guess would be is to keep Crews from moving around too much. I’m assuming they don’t want want him moving from CF to RF every other game depending on the lineup.
Also are we going to assume Devin Fontenot is going to start against La Tech Wednesday? That’s what I’m leaning towards.

Interesting to see how sophomore loaded this line up is. All sophomores and 1 junior (Gio).

You’re overrating Gio a little. A lot but you’re obviously acting like a fan. Crews will be in the OF every day. He’s your best every day guy. He’s good out there and we aren’t giving up outs with him in CF. Gio doesn’t have the arm Crews has. He’s not the best OF in the SEC. He’s good. Don’t get me wrong. But he’s in RF because he’s not an everyday guy (yet if at all). It’s going to be okay.
