When did the police enforce a curfew?

are you sure the kid suffered the injury in the fight? It definitely wasn't a pre-existing condition? It definitely didn't happen when he was drunk and stumbling around before getting out of hand?

I'd say the chances this guy had a broken back and was still out drinking starting fights with 300 pound football players is pretty low...

Possibly but shouldn't that all be investigated?

Have bar fights prior to this been investigated to this extent? Do they plan on doing DNA and forensics tests for all unresolved bar fights from now on?

Also, if they dont investigate it they will spend 10x the money defending and probably paying out $$$$$$$$$$$$ because the victims would sue the shite out of the BRPD!

And wouldn't win. They would have to spend a lot less time investigating than what they normally do. Essentially showing up and saying "alright everybody just go home".

The bottom line whether you or I like it or not is if the LSU players don't violate curfew this problem wouldn't exist.I'm sure the police would rather investigate more important matters but the cops didn't place themselves in this investigation the LSU football players did.The police start from the premise that all are innocent until proven guilty or innocent. The cops are doing the job they are paid to do not what some want them to do for some selfish reason.Again, the police didn't put themselves in this position some LSU football players did.Place the blame squarely on the shoulders of those who caused this mess. Some LSU players who couldn't follow the rules.Don't give me that tradition BS.If so,does that mean the players who didn't violate curfew, are now guilty of violating tradition. No wonder this country is going to hell in a hand basket as they say.

Isnt it the BRPDs resposibility to the alleged victim to investigate these claims?

Why should they get special treatment over the rest of the citizens in BR?

I'm no medical expert but I find it hard to believe you can receive broken vertebrae and be released from the hospital that quickly...

I don't know if he is innocent or guilty. I just think it's too early to react.

When someone's back is broken i damn well hope they investigate regardless of who is involved. Sorry, i'm not an anarchist.

If it was JJ that got 3 broken vertebra and the police chalked it up to "kids being kids" what do you think would happen?

IT's just a bar fight with some guys getting whipped UNTIL -

A defenseless man is laying on the ground getting kicked, multiple times it appears.

For me, this is going to far and it could be the reason there are broken vertebrae.

It doesn't matter who started what or what happened before the video.

How do you KNOW they are? The only reason you believe that to be true is because this case is so public, and the news is reporting every single step made by the BRPD. I NEVER HEAR ABOUT SIMPLE BATTERY 2 BEING INVESTIGATED THIS MUCH SO IT MUST NOT HAPPEN!!!!!

You're not gonna hear about JC YE YE getting stomped down by a bunch of fratstars in Freds parking lot because it isnt news worthy... Does that mean JC didnt press charges? And does that mean the police will just team sweep it under the rug?

If you truly think he is innocent, wont you be much happier knowing they did a full investigation to clear him??

call me crazy, but don't they have to prove his guilt rather than his innocence?

I doubt they did xrays or MRI's at that time.

Maybe it didn't hurt right away?

They wouldn't do xrays for no reason or complaint of pain.

Wonder if you'd have the same thoughts if you sustained several fractured vertebrae.
