It's made you who you are today. Well done btw. Guess I should have directed that at the peeps who call him stupid or call the situation stupid.

So he's been in Houston with Lucas since Sunday. I'm surprised that didn't get out before now.
It kind of did. A poster a few days ago said the airport check in girl told him Tyrann was on a plane to Houston Monday. We all, self included, made fun of him. Just shows you not everyone is a sociopathic liar on the rant.

I forget the poster's name but he said he saw TM at the Galleria the other day. In Luby's, I think.

Oh no man. What you said is correct. But I am so emotionally, mentaly, spiritialy and physically strong today with everything I have been through. Everyone is different. They don't need to go through all these things and honestly I see people that do need challenges to overcome. I see so many people that cannot cope with life at all. And I couldn't until I started on my journey. Still going!

I never thought this was about a bad kid just thinking he was above the team and the rules didn't apply to him. I always felt it was all just too much, the "honey badger" fame I mean, for anyone to handle. Especially TM7 who had an addict mother and then a father that gets out of jail only to kill his mother's boyfriend as soon as he got out of jail. NO WAY TM7 ever got the professional help someone would need to deal with that kind of past and then to have all of us put the "honey badger" on him had to be too much. I want him to get help for all of that. Think about all the other kids throughout La right now walking into gas stations buying that stuff and abusing it. His story could help so many others. If he plays at LSU again then how lucky will WE be. If he never does I hope he goes go on to a long NFL career and life of redemption helping other kids dealing with these kinds of life tragedies.

I don't see how he could be eligible to play for LSU next year. Say he wasn't dismissed from school but was suspended for 13 games. Wouldn't he have to stay academically eligible to compete with the team next year? Dismissing him from the team could actually work out better for LSU than a season long suspension would have.
1. They free up a scholarship this season that wouldn't be there if he was just serving a suspension.
2. He doesn't even have to go to school or attend any classes.
3. He isn't a student athlete so I dont know how it would work as far as money and stuff. He isn't enrolled in a school so whats to stop him from making money from the honey badger thing now and then just stopping that before he comes back to school next year?

Most people don't need to check into rehab for pot. I'm not accusing him of anything....I am just pointing that out.

Word was he maybe looking at Sam Houston st I thought, which would make sense.

The Right Step is a very positive choice for treatment & having John Lucas working with TM is outstanding! There was obviously some very knowlegable people working on this. John has helped a lot of athletes & he will set up a strong support system for TM. He just has to commit to the help & recovery! This is a really amazing turn of events for everynody!

I remember a post from earlier in the week connecting Lucas meeting Mathieu in Houston as an ambassador/recruiter for Prairie View. That's how all of these crazy stories start; with a little bit of truth.
I just hope the rehab is sincere and not a PR move: "I really screwed up,what am I going to do now? I know. . . Rehab"
Good luck to him and now, let's move on!

most people can stop for a few months knowing the rewards of being high NFL draft pick are in the balance.
it's still a mind altering substance. and then there is the whole self-medicating to try an overcome an even bigger issue.

I think it would be a nice gesture for all of us LSU fans to blast his twitter with encouragement & support for when he does check it again.

Can you imagine all the people you need and expect to be there for you, leaving you one by one? I bet as a young kid you tell yourself that you will never leave anyone behind, no matter what happens. Then one day things change and you begin questioning yourself. People start telling you that you have to make a choice. The right thing goes against that promise to yourself. Do what you are being told is best for you , by people that didn't have to go through what you did. Or become like the people you swore you would never be.

Drug rehab? Must have tested positive for more than weed. Rehash places don't have time for weed.
I went to a rehab place in Atlanta and sat down with a counselor... here's how it went.
Counselor: (looking down at her papers) "what can I help you with?
me: I smoke marijuana.
c:(looks at me, grins and says "we can't help you here. "
Me: where do I go for help??
c: you don't. You go home.
Then I left.
Unless its a PR trick(which very well may work, he is in the rehab place for more than weed.

Maybe you should have found a rehab that did?

AM pulling for him. Hopefully he can make a triumphant return and he enters the first game midway through the first quarter and gets a giant roar from the crowd the same way Toefield got one when he returned from injury against Ole Miss in 2002.

As others have said, he could not stop doing it even for a few months when millions of dollars were on the line. He is in rehab to hash out his demons - the weed was just a result of other problems. Hopefully be gets the help he needs and turns things around. If Miles said he is a good kid, and that's good enough for me.

She laughed at the fact that I was there. My wife/inlaws made me go.
Anyway, weed isn't rehabbed, as there aren't any withdrawals. The underlying mental/emotional issues that create dependence on inherently unaddictive substances/activities can be fixed, but that's for therapy or study and not rehab. Weed has the addictive properties of food, sex, puzzles, internet message boards, mmorpg's, etc.
Mathieu's in there for more than weed if not a PR stunt. Unless that place does therapy, then he's there for that.
Good luck to him...I really hope he gets control over his emotions there.
