So with a RS Fresh. QB with zero experience and a walk-on from Harvard, you expected to be 11-1, 10-2? I dare you to say Saban or Meyer would have finished with those records with those circumstances.

I see. So the worst season for a defending national champion in over half a century wasn't due to bad coaching, but just bad luck. Les Miles is just the unluckiest coach in the last 50 years. Well, I'm normally not superstitious, but if he's that damned unlucky, we better fire him before it rubs off on the school as a whole.

Jesus....can you honestly say none of that had an impact on the season? Seriously? Is your hatred for Miles that frickin' blinding. Every other coach that is ever mentioned gets excused by you guys but all this shite happens to Miles in a matter of a few months and he gets nothing. you guys are frickin' ridiculous. If that shite had happened to Saban before the '04 season i can guarantee you it would be mentioned on this board constantly. Not for Miles though...don't give that son of a bitch an inch.

"They" who say that are usually apologists trying to justify their sophomore QB's bad season and build false hope for his junior season.

jesus christ.

OK, then show me the evidence that the transition from sophomore season to junior season is some crucial milestone at which most QBs suddenly become a lot better.

In my admittedly unresearched observation, it seems fairly random. It varies with each QB and each coaching staff. Sometimes, they start out playing well from the get-go, like Tom Hodson at LSU, Danny Wuerffel at Florida or Colt McCoy at Texas. Sometimes they really kick it in in their sophomore season, like Tim Tebow at Florida, Jamarcus Russell at LSU or Matt Leinhart at USC. Sometimes it doesn't happen until their senior season, like Jason Campbell at Auburn or Chris Leak at Florida. Sometimes, it never happens. And yes, sometimes it happens in their junior year. But to arbitrarily point to the junior year as some sudden and magical turning point in the careers of most, or even a disproportionate number of, quarterbacks is just wishful thinking by the fans of a team with a QB who sucked as a sophomore and they want to be better the next year.

Yes, that's exactly what I said, since we both know there's no middle ground between going 11-1 and going 3-5 in the fricking conference.

Because it probably wouldn't stand along side your agenda.

No, the main reason is because, when I want to look at cheerleaders, you don't spring to mind as the first one I'd want to see.

Wrong, I will say exactly the same thing about every other coach in the last 50 years who followed up the national championship with 5 losses and an unranked finish the next year. Line 'em up, and I'll bash 'em.

Les Miles? Check.

Like i said...you completely ignore and disregard all the shite that i mentioned because it doesn't fit your agenda.

Give me any other coach that had the type of offseason Miles had after his NC. Line 'em up.

>deeerrrrrrr< KABOOOOOM!!!! >deeeerrrrrr<

I've noticed he hasn't answered the question as to who the coach would be that could overcome these type of issues.

Is there a middle ground between being the best coach in the conference and one of the worst in the country?

OK, so he's either the worst or the unluckiest. Either way, we don't need that shite at LSU.

Yep, and we're sitting dead center of it right now. So, we're halfway to where you want to be.

Name a coach and quit dodging the question.

What coach would be successful under the circumstances Miles had to endure in '08?

Miles replaced Pelini with Co DC'S and that really went over well. Miles KNEW tha RP was a bad risk, yet still didn't try to get a top notch HS QB. You act like Andrew Hatch was the answer.

Really? Is that why every other team in the country was begging him to go to wherever? Because he was a terrible risk?

Is that why LSU fans rejoiced, probably including you, when he flipped from Texas to LSU?

yes. A QB getting better with experience is just an old wives tale. any good qb has completely maxes out his potential at 19 gets old or was not coaches up properly during his first fall camp.

I watched hinm alot in HS and while he was better than most on the field, He seemed lazy. And when he got here he started getting into all the CRAP, and it had an effect on the whole team cause Miles let him get away with so much.

Could you please provide some evidence that RP was constantly in trouble in high school. No one knew that....stop throwing shite out there and hoping it sticks.
