It's not just three consecutive losses--it's how the team played in those games that got everyone so angry.
For me, those losses just magnified what I believe has been a near-chronic problem with Miles-coached teams: an inability to play sound, smart, competitive football. I'm not even talking dominant football--just the kind of solid, smart football our opponents so often play against us.
That, for me, is what made the three consecutive losses so bad--for God's sake, by the time of the Mississippi game, we looked as though we had completely forgotten how to play football. We looked like a rugby team that's suddenly given pads and helmets and told to play American-style football--without a clue as to how that game is played.

Is this what they're saying at the train yards and on the rails?

No, but I did have some skanky street hooker pull up trying to bum some money - she was driving a nice Mercedes.

It's not the fact that he lost 3 in a row. It's how he lost those 3 games

I won't comment about Bama but, I don't think Ole Miss or Arkansas were mediocre teams when playing the tigers. They have shite the bed a few times but they were very capable of beating any team the night we played. Ole Miss did beat Bama so why shouldn't they beat us. Three in a row does sound bad but it wasn't ULM or Savanah State. Firing Miles may be a big mistake. Many People predicted 3 losses at the beginning of the season and I never heard a peep about firing him before the season started. I personally think there is something lacking with our OC. Like maybe we could lure an OC from Baylor or Ok State. Maybe they could teach us how to move the chains. Just my thoughts on the situation. I really hate to see our recruits scatter because of this mess. And yes, I remember the Denardo and Archer days.

While three losses may be a legitimate reason to end Miles coaching career at LSU, "three in a row" is not. Curly never lost three in a row - but he never had a winning season and he never went to a bowl game. Dinardo never lost three in a row - you want someone with his record back?
The "in a row" argument (saw it on at least two boards today) is inane.
You may be tired of hearing about it but after talking to a few friends of mine from around the country, "three in a row" is certainly the national public perception and we look like idiotic buffoons here for it.

Wouldn't matter if they brought in Bill Walsh in his prime to OC... Miles overrides his OC, and can't figure out he's killed his offenses. He won't change so it's time for a coaching change.
