We were pissed, but not at Stony Brook. They beat us on the field. I've never seen a lineup of harder outs top to bottom than I saw that series. Their athletic OF also made our "less athletic" OF really look inferior.

I thought that, too...then I watched them lay an egg in Omaha. It made me wonder if maybe the talent gap between us and the CWS teams was really that big despite us being only one win away.

It's either that or Stony Brook got caught up in the bright lights of TD Ameritrade.

I was talking about just that series. Yea, they laid an egg in Omaha. Could have been the pressure. As you know, very few teams perform well their first time up there.

But for the Super here in BR, that was a lineup of tough outs like I've never seen.

I'm in complete agreement.

I sat and watched all 3 games. They were flat out amazing. Every ball they hit, was smoked, They made defensive play after defensive play in the outfield. Everyone says it's a huge upset. David beats Goliath. I hate to be the be the person to deliver the bad news, but they were the best team in the series hands down.

no considering we went to the CWS runner up in the last weekend of the season and took 2 of 3 on the road to win the sec. we just got beat in the supers, bottom line. but it wasnt because we were less talented than some teams in omaha. i mean hell arkansas made it to omaha and they sucked the entire second half of the season.
