I would say that over 85% of LSU's basketball fan base is white. And if they are mostly racist, then when they go to the games they are color blind and cheer for LSU even with the black guys playing for LSU. Some LSU fans might be racist, but some Southern fans or Grambling fans, or any other fans from any other school might be racist to so you can pretty much say this about any school especially in the south.

I have heard this statement before and it's not necessarily false. I won't use LSU in this example but I will use the NBA. Anytime we talk about the NBA on the radio show, callers always tend to call up and say that the NBA is full of thugs. One guy called up a few weeks ago and said the league is "99% thugs". I asked him why he felt this way and it comes down to baggy shorts, rap culture, corn rows, tats etc. Most guys that play football are the same way. If you see football players off the field they dress just like basketball players. The difference comes on the field. Basketball players are more visable where football players are covered up with "armour". Fans can't see all the tats, cornrows etc.

I disagree. You see almost as much tats on football players as you do on basketball players. Its not like football players are wearing long sleeves. And with all the coverage these days, you see the thugs in football just as much in basketball. There are good guys and thugs in every sport.

I agree that many lsu b-ball fans are white, like me. But tell me, br gets 100000 people around the football feild, and we are damn lucky to get one tenth of that at the bball court. Also, confederate flags prominently displayed by fans at football and baseball games. Is it really that hard to recognize the racism?

Football is better to watch than basketball bottom line everyone knows that, thats why the super bowl is one of the biggest events. The sport really doesnt matter the color or origin of the people playing - IF LSU FOOTBALL HAD ALL CHINESE PEOPLE PLAYIN ON THE TEAM AND WON 2 BCS CHAMPIONSHIPS GAMES WOULD STILL SELLOUT.-

Im thinking people would do the same at basketball games if they tailgated for this like they do for the other two sports. Im one of those people that think that just cuz you fly that purple and gold flag it doesnt mean your racist. I know some people who have that flag cuz it looks cool and they are far from racist.
