playing at 4:00 pushes the 4th quarter into primetime and draws some good ratings. alabama game last year was like this. i don't know how cbs would be able to get the game to start at 7:00 though. the sec never likes to have its two big games on at the same time and i wouldn't think espn would be able to move its game.

You do realize even with the new contract with ESPN, we still have a contract with a game of the week on CBS and they get 1st pick each week. No more letting ESPN pick 1 or 2 game each season they want to televise before CBS gets their choice.

I thought CBS could move a game to primetime twice a year. I know they did it for the LSU/Florida game. what was the other game?

even if they push it back CBS is still homo. CBS just needs to die. its torture to watch a game listening to those idiots.

I thought the SEC's contract with CBS only allowed for one prime time game per season?

There's nothing in the contract per se that says there can only be ONE primetime game per season ... it's more a matter of making it work with ESPN and the SEC so that there's not "competing" SEC games and what not ... there's a lot of parties involved in setting the gametimes, although CBS usually gets what they want because they're paying the big bucks.

My guess is it will be a 4pm kickoff, but that's just an educated guess going off of what Brando said and what is feasible.

I don't want that to happen. It does nothing for us if they lose to them rather than an SEC team.

I want Nov 8 to be hyped up as much as possible.

SEC-W, SEC, National Championship, The Hat, Little Napolean implications on the line.

CBS will not pass on this game if they both win this weekend. ESPN has no shot at this game....IMO.

Playing the game at 7 pm could be a possibility. Elite XC just shut it's doors this week so CBS is left without any Saturday Night Prime Time programing for that slot.

I could see it happening

This is the one reason why it may be legit, they need some fillers for that crap that was elite XC

That's a very good point, we'll have to see what they do and I won't believe a later than 230 kickoff for this game until I see it, BUT it would be VERY awesome if it was a night game. But it's gonna be interesting to see what CBS wants to do with that time slot anyways and IF LSU & Bama win this weekend, it definitely has some good potential thanks to Elite folding like a washcloth

On his show TODAY he had the VP for CBS on and he said the game will be at 2:30.

Everybody email CBS and tell them that it would be in their best interest to move this game to a 7pm kickoff :sarcasm:

My dad's weekend butler dates Brando's aunt and she says that Brando told her, over dinner at Johnny's Pizza, that LFN or Raycom wants to pay CBS 22 million for Bama and LSU to be an 11 AM game. FWIW.

This is incorrect and you know it. There is no gametime set yet, and everyone who knows anything about how/when TV times are set for SEC games knows this to be true.

I'm not saying the game won't eventually end up at 2:30, but it is definitely NOT set at 2:30 or even less than not not even SET for CBS as of now.
