IIRC, Bradford was dunking as a HS senior.

I’m sure.

6’4 + 33” arms + 30” vert = 11.5’

Jay Ward would be the perfect safety for Bill Belichick. Could be alot like McCourty.

Garner and Ward had a little more athleticism than I was expecting. Garner having a 38" vertical is impressive along with Ward's 11' broad jump.

Garner had a great combine. At that size, his numbers made him some more money.

I think this is a weird comparison to keep harping on considering a few things:
-Boutte and Jarvis are different types of players
-Training for the combine has changed significantly over the past nine years and it's assumed players are better-prepared now than they were in 2014
-Boutte came into the season as a projected first round pick, so expectations play a major role in how the numbers are viewed

Did you ever consider that maybe they’re not though? Do you know how teams will use him in the NFL?

They’re literally the same size, but Boutte is a little faster.

If he had a great season this year, would he still be? Would his 29” vertical lower that?

It’s not like he has a 35-40” vertical like the other top prospects & just didn’t train… he’s always been a 29-30” vertical jumper, even when he was originally projected in the 1st rd.
