He deserved more than a "Tigerbait". I vividly remember him running up the score in Tiger Stadium during the Hallman years to the tune of 50 something to 3. They were throwing the football deep into the game with the outcome decided long before! He's just bitter he's stuck in South Carolina where you just can't win big.

I once tigerbaited Ed Orgeron around 2a.m. at Lauburge Du Lac. He gave me the biggest "stop because im batshit crazy" look. I stopped immediately

Why do so many people take umbrage with a TigerBait chant? I have never understood why a simple public acknowledgement of fandom elicits such shocked and angry responses. Steve Spurrier is the prick for getting upset enough to curse out loud at the OP, in front of a kid. It's just a way to say " I know who you are (or what school you are a fan of) and I want you to know a Tiger is here".... sort of a break the ice thing. If I do it, I'm hoping for a conversation about sports to spring from the friendly ribbing. People are such PC, crybaby, isolationists nowadays.

I somehow don't think it was classy on your part given the setting/situation. There is a time and place for tigerbaiting, and this perhaps wasn't one.

It's Steve freakin Spurrier!! You don't let an opportunity like that go.

Audio??? Video Link??? I am calling BS doubting he would shout an obscenity with a kid right there in front of him

Exactly. No prick for the tigerbait because it was in fun. Steve Spurrier didnt call the guy an a-hole, this guy wanted him to call him an a-hole so he had a good story on TD. Lets contact Snopes and see if this is fact or fiction!

I would have slipped him Joe Alleva's phone number.

Why? He ain't the same Steve Spurrier of the 90's at Florida.

BTW, the a-hole in this scene was Steve Spurrier who called the guy an a-hole while signing an autograph for a kid.

He hates the recruiting aspect plus he no long has the fire as he did. Spurrier has gone the was of another great coach, John Robinson. Robinson was great in his first stint at USC(w) but in his second stint, he had lost the fire.

I'm with you. I think the story is more that he saw Spurrier and asked for his autograph and when Spurrier asked him why a grown man would want an autograph he got pissed and posted this story.
