Tug fathered Tim, but didn't raise him. Not sure if he was aware of Tim early on but there was a later attempt at reconciliation (?). Tug was admittedly a head case for most of his professional career. Tim always considered his step dad as his real father. I'm sure both are very proud of Tim's success.

He signed my LSU cap a few years ago. I like his music but not his public eye political leanings.
Tug and Tim had a reconciliation after Tim got older.

Both are deceased. He is a big Tiger fan though. Saw him backstage in Charlotte several years ago. He was walking towards his dressing room with two other guys and I looked up and shouted, "GEAUX TIGERS!" He stopped and began a conversation. When I told him I was from northeast Louisiana he broke out in a big grin. Told him I'd even had many a lunch at Poor Boy Donnie's outside of Tallullah and that I was pretty sure we'd played baseball against each other when he lived in Winnsboro for a short time.
My youngest son was standing beside me and after Tim walked off he looked up and said......he looked taller in The Blindside.
