i don't know what you're looking at, the expansion looks very symmetrical to me. Right now, the eyes are playing tricks because the video boards are not finished. But...the expansion does run and connect to both upper decks (there might be a couple feet gap), it just looks well thought out and planed to me.
When it's finished, it should look fantastic.

Has anyone noted how big those screens are gonna be?I won't even have to squint.

this looks pretty symmetrical to me? If this is what it looks like when done...it's a slam dunk.

At least the exposed drainage pipes are already black. Cant believe they couldnt design it without exposed drainage pipes

It's going to be awesome!

all b.s. aside, it's going to be an awesome stadium.

one thing that aggravates me when looking at the empty stadium is how all the seats are different colors. I don't mind purple and gold seats, in fact it's rather unique. But it has no order or semblence of purpose. It makes the whole stadium look cheap.

could the arches be done on the east and west sides to match the north and south?

I can't wait to see the finished locker room. It was such a needed upgrade. From one of the pictures, it looks like there will be a true tunnel/hallway to walk out of onto the field.

are those benches in the endzone? or are they putting seats there?

Just thought I'd pop in to say congrats on the new edition. It always fun and exciting to see these projects unfold before your very eyes. It will be neat to see how the addition affects the acoustics and noise level of TS.
P.S. Is there going to be a "Zone" type area in the new addition for premium seats? That has been a very popular part of the two endzone additions at BDS. I was hoping some of the new stadium additions start adding similar amenities to their stadiums.

I'm on my phone so forgive me, but are the seats purple or is the concrete under the seats painted purple?

Interesting how the design has changed over the course of the project...
Exhibit A...the earliest leaked renderings...
Exhibit B...the sign outside the stadium...from HKS, the architects
Exhibit C...rendering from Brasfield & Gorrie...one of the two contractors
Exhibit D...the construction cam...from LSUsports.com...
So what's changed? In the earliest renderings, Exhibit A, there are no bricked in windows, and the entrance tower has a distinct curve to it.
That has changed by Exhibit B...there are now bricked in windows, and the tower design now has a completely flat face of windows.
In Exhibit C, the bricked in part now extends all the way to the bottom.
Finally in Exhibit D, the construction cam now shows windows in the lower part of the bricked in area. We also get a better look at the entrance tower, and the design is indeed a flat surface of windows, with no curve.
We know the capacity has changed several times, as has the number of suites. The original proposal called for 65 suites. The leaked seating chart showed 70 suites. That number changed to 66 suites, as quoted by a TAF official on Tiger Tracks.
The initial estimate of the new seating capacity was just under 100,00. LSU AD Joe Alleva confirmed recently that the new capacity of Tiger Stadium will be in excess of 100,000.
So it will be interesting to see what the final capacity will be, the final total of suites, and whether or not any of the SEZ exterior will be bricked in.
