a meaningless game against arkansas.
Who is this game meaningless to, exactly? Not me--I'll be there yelling my arse off. I doubt the players either, a lot of whom will be playing their last time in Tiger Stadium Saturday night. It's as important as to Les Miles, I know this. So, who exactly is the game meaningless for? I can't figure it out. YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME. HELLO!! Our team is scheduled to play a football game against another team from the SEC in which they will be keeping score. It's not fricking meaningless. For 3 hours Saturday night, it means fricking everything.

quite. unless something crazy happens. as of now, yes. Murphy is our guy next year

I don't think that's as clear as you hope it is. Ridley will be the starter against UNC next year unless he's hurt again.

based on what? I'd say there's as good a chance he'll be a slot WR as our #1 TB.

do people really think Ridley would be getting more playing time than Murphy if Murphy was healthy?

oh yeah, almost forgot.
got to player the senior.

Ford shouldnt have been RS'ed anyway
we have 1 legit back on the roster. He pretty much need to play.
and its a Redshirt, its really not a big deal in college football.
people acting like we are cutting his arm off. He would still have 3 more years to play a lot of football if he is good enough. And if he isnt, we'll he still has a RS year if he transfers

Based on his want and desire to compete.
(Translation: he is a senior, so suck it.)

i mean... i think he'll be a junior because of the medical redshirt, but that's true. lots don't agree with it, and i think there should be open tryouts for each position. it's just the way Miles operates. unless he changes his ways, which i hope.

I agree with this.
I'd like to have seen him on special teams and getting some carries here and there in the games to see what he could do.

a problem with burning his redshirt is... is our offense even going to run 50+ plays and get him the ball for it to matter? we look stagnant most of the time and the fact that arky has a subpar defense won't change our offense IMO

you people are unbelievable. you hate anything Miles does, no matter what it is. if we lose to Ark because we cant run youll go insane. if Ford runs for 200 and we win youll go insane. up should be down, right should be left, in should be out.

Bingo! The rantards calling this a "meaningless game" are the same ones who had a meltdown over the Ole Miss game that in reality was no more meaningful since LSU now measures it's success with SEC Championships, BCS Bowl games and National Championships.

It works both ways. Ford, if he lives up to the hype, won't stay 4 years anyway.

first, according to the rules, he won't get a medical, and second, rb's seldom come back to be the main man a year after a serious knee injury.
