should've waited till after the CWS to put this out! i could have used this to hold me over for another week or so, now what'll i do with myself over the summer?

Good article; good writing.
Most Bama fans I know look at G. McElroy with guarded optimism, not as a "world-beater" who is "awesome."
"Green" QB's can't be dismissed outright unless you want to ignore Matt Flynn and Tee Martin who won national championships. Both of those QB's had a better supporting cast than McElroy will have this year, but they are examples of first year starters playing well.
The jury is still out on McElroy. Our greater concern is the offensive line ... as you rightly noted.
It should be a great season and a great game at Bryant-Denny. Good luck to the Tigers.

Who is the best QB in the West? I am good friends with many BAMA fans - none of which claim McElroy is a world beater - none of which thinks BAMA goes undefeated this year. Nice article overall.
