You lost me with that one.

Personal opinions will always overshadow reality because they are subjective. What I am trying to say is: regardless of the situation, good or bad, we should not allow our personal preferences to get in the way of the bigger picture.

And that is Going to the Ship!!

I both understand and appreciate your position. I've seen a wide and diverse set of opinions voiced on this board and with very few exceptions have I witnessed any negative opinion that lead to a disavowed loyalty to school or team.

So true Tiger fans should now support face-kicking and smoking synthetic dope. Judgments make the world go around. Preschools are the appropriate places for pollyanna sunshine pumping. Fun arguments are what the rant is for.

It is your right as an individual to choose whether or not you support certain actions (the bar fight, smoking synthetic pot) I completely understand why everyone could be upset with that.

What I am saying is: regardless of the mistakes that have been made, we should still support the team as a whole. Regardless of the decisions made by the coaching staff (playing time) we should still support the coaching staff as a whole. And regardless if someone has made a mistake (bar fight, smoking synthetic pot), once they have completed their punishments, we should welcome them back with open arms.

All in all, I guess I'm just an extremely proud fan that tries to show as much support as possible. If bleeding purple and gold is my crime, then lock me up because LSU is the bees knees.

None of those except maybe one is a contradiction. Just because you used the word "but" doesn't make it a contradiction. Just sayin'.

since the fans are rarely familiar with the true team dynamics and we have a coach that does not "play to them", the vast majority of the posts are based on merely what they can see on the field during a game. and, the majority of these "visions" are impaired due to consumption of copious amounts of alcohol and based on a lack of real football experience. add to that the fact that, unless you can watch the game film, you are only able to see what the tv camera's let you or if at the game, you can only see what you focus on and that is in real time. the bottom line is we, the fans, are probably the worst source of quality advice a coach could find (if looking). this whole qb controversy is a perfect example of people making their "stand" and not knowing what the frick their talking about. if i was a player, i wouldn't come on this site unless i needed a good laugh.

This is a horrible first post. You are casting aspersions of things believed by some but not all of the fanbase as if they are universally held by the entire fanbase.

There are way too many sweeping generalizations in your post. Largely, the majority of LSU fans are pleased as punch with how this season has gone thus far and wouldn't trade it for anything.

Granddad, you have definite wisdom with your age. Us youngsters need to hear it sometimes. Great reply. Geaux Tigers!

My generalizations and exaggerations were to make a point. I believe they call that a hyperbole.
It's just depressing when every other heading is something that is a negative opinion.
I understand that expressing your views is exactly what a rant is designed to do, but when you are 10-0 and hopefully on your way to a National Championship, one would just hope for a few less of those negatigers to come out...

most (Jefferson, Mathieu, Lee, etc.) you'll be the first to caste a stone straight at their head.

What does Caste a stone mean.
