First time to Omaha, what's the best way to obtain tix? Preferably 4 together.

Just get them online. I went to the 09 final and it was incredibly easy, and cheap, to get good tickets to all the games

The other team is Florida. They are well known for not traveling for baseball. You wil be fine getting tickets at the ballpark.

Kinda hoping it's like football where I can buy them on street and choose good seats.

Get them online and just pick them up at will call. If you've traveled halfway across the country, bought a hotel room, and all the other hoopla, secure the tickets beforehand.
I bought tickets online around home plate for around $50 when I went

There will be tickets available on the streets.

How definite is this? Thinking about taking my family, but $200 per ticket is undoable.
From experience, are there always typically lots of tickets available on the streets? seats together?

They are $400+ now. That's got to be a opportunistic price right now huh?

I don't believe you

Wow!! Sports are slowly pricing themselves out the range of the general public! That may be an understatement

I didn't ask what prices they were trying to sell them for, but there were definitely tickets being sold on the streets for lsu's first two games. There will be tickets available, just don't know what they ask for them. I would think being down to two teams, six teams fans have gone home, and the championship games being on work nights would help the lsu fans there to support the Tigers as you would have less locals than opening weekend.

They skyrocketed kast night.

You can buy general admission (outfield) for cheap. They will sell as many of those as people willing to buy, but cut the attendance off at 5500 people coming through those gates. If you don't mind getting into the game early, you can do that and go in 90 minutes or more before the game and also watch batting practice and maybe get a BP home run ball.

When are they available through the parks website? Or is that done already?

I bought them the morning/day of the game every day. 2 tickets and the total was around $100 to $120 each time.
The prices will go down tomorrow imo

I believe they will go down tomorrow too. Hate to take that risk hauling 2 kids up there though. Damn. I rarely have the opportunity to do stuff like this. The timing is perfect for me and my family.

It's harder than you think.
I just got back on Wednesday, wanted to make sure I saw the Tigers in Omaha so we decided to go in the beginning.
We went with no tickets expecting to buy outside the stadium. Well lemme tell you, the scalpers are out and they KNOW people want to see LSU, including Omaha locals, hence the reason they love us so much, they also pull for us but that puts an even bigger demand on the LSU ticket.
We had to buy a couple for the OSU game, it cost $100-$120 PER ticket from scalpers..now maybe it may be cheaper bc all the other teams are out, but you gotta think that everyone knows people want to see LSU, that's the problem.
General Admission: $15/each sold the morning of gameday. They let 5500 people in and can sit anywhere in outfield AND can also move around to other seats if open, no separation between general admission and say behind home plate.
My advice: buy 2 GAs early each morning that way you at least can get in with those but if you're going all this way, you probably want good seats so be prepared to pay $100-$150 per ticket..go early and walk thru all the LSU tailgates right next to the stadium with 2 fingers up, you'll probably find some cheaper from tiger fans but the deal with that is you have to get to those people BEFORE the scalpers find them. The scalpers buy em cheap ($30) off Tiger fans then resell them for ($150)...frickin bullsh*t but you gotta get out there and play the game!
Good luck and one more thing: YOU MUST GO EAT AT 11 Worth Cafe. It's not far from the stadium, it's cheap and casual, breakfast/lunch...it's frickin awesome, read the reviews..and if there's a wait, then wait, you won't regret it!
