I hope I don’t break the internet here, but I am actually going to agree with Roger on this one.


Burrow was a very successful HS QB that caught the eye of Urban Meyer and had the great benefit of learning under him for three full years.

While he didn’t have the game experience that Mett did when he came here, the learning he did under Meyer had him clearly ready to compete at a high level, and after only three months on campus he led the team to a 9-3 record and bowl win when the team likely would have gone 7-5 AT BEST without him.

That was an incredible amount of pressure and he responded like an absolute champion imo.

Now, with a full season and offseason under his belt, the familiarity with both the offense and his teammates, and a more threatening running game behind a hopefully better offensive line, I just can’t fathom any way that Burrow isn’t poised to have a season that Tiger fans will remember with the best seasons of quarterbacks in the modern era.


What an awesome schedule where our big SEC games will be at home so we get to see him play the position at the highest level we’ve seen in Tiger Stadium in a very long time.

Given how weak our o line, plus very average RBs, was Burrows year was even better by comparison. Anyway Burrow is in a very select group of LSU QBs.

Turn it around.. how many games would we have won without Burrow.. 6 to 8.

41 p5 qbs did that last year or 41 NCAA QBs? Huge difference between the defenses in the SEC West and a division 3 school
