If we can't pass deep, and only can complete 8-10 yard passes, then I really hope TDP or emery can finally run the fkn ball

Apparently, you must have kept your eyes closed during the spring game. As Max had a passing completion rate of 65 percent and threw for two touchdowns relative to Myles's 60 percent passing completion rate and only one touch down.

Lay off the crack cocaine dude. At least before you start posting.

If he can't throw the ball downfield, the defenses will cheat up to the line of scrimmage and reduce the ability to run the ball effectively. Then what have you got? No offense. If you are basing your opinion on a SPRING game, you're the one that needs to lay off the crack.

This is facts. All I can say is thank god he can run because he will struggle passing the ball. He simply just doesn't have the arm talent that Myles has

Really? Well, I'll be damn. Okay genius how did Max pass for 65 percent and two touchdowns in the Spring Game relative to Myles' 60 percent and only one touchdown?

Lay off the crack if you are going to post on the Internet.

I'm not concerned about the Spring game. When has a Spring game performance been indicative of in game performance.
The quarterbacks are protected. If they are touched the play is dead. Many times they could have avoided a rush and made a big play.

Dude, I asked for your thoughts, not for you to have a hemorrhage. From the passes to the left side, he overthrew a lot. I was stating my opinion, and you're just being a cocksucker

It's definitely a concern but I don't know if you can go off of 2020 to determine that Max isn't able to attack the field vertically. He was working with a limited playbook and a lot of youth around him as well. Peetz knows that to be successful they are going to have to attack the entire field.

The deep ball will probably never be his strong suit.

Max is a winner.

I think he goes down as one of LSU's all-time greats at quarterback.

Let me know your thoughts after watching the film
I think it's really tough to look at this and project it forward to actual play.

One thing I did notice is that he didn't face a single blitz. Nothing but four man pressure, and for the most part he seemed to have a ton of time in the pocket.

Every team will be coming full on for him. Blitz packages galore. Gonna make him throw it and see if we can run. If our O-line can give him some time and we have a true run game this year, I feel pretty good about Maximus

Hard to believe that you think that Max is better than Myles. Myles threw for over 1100 yards, 11 TDs and 3 interceptions in only 3 games. Not a lot of QBs threw for an average of 370 yards per game last year including Max.

Myles' Stats 79 131 60.3 1,112

Max's Stats 88 150 58.7 1,069

Myles Brennan's stats as a fifth year senior were only slightly marginally better relative to a brand new true freshmen QB fresh out of high school and still very wet behind the ears who didn't have nearly as many reps as other QBs to transition from high school football to SEC football, courtesy of the Covid Pandemic. As Myles passing completion rate was only slightly 1.6 percent marginally better relative to Max and Myles' total yards passing in three games was again only marginally 43 yards more relative to Max's total yards in only two games.

Not to mention that Myles numbers were generated against a Mizzou team that had half its defense absent due to Covid protocols and a Vanderbilt team who is the worse team in the SEC. On top of that, Myles also had the benefit of both Terrace Marshall and Arik Gilbert to throw the ball to and Max didn't.

Meanwhile, when we look at the Spring Game it is quite evident that Max had already passed up Myles significantly. As Max completed 65 percent of his passes for 180 yards and 2 touchdowns. Relative to Myles only completing 60 percent of his passes for only 116 yards and only 1 touchdown.

Very apparently, you are more than just a little lost in space my man.

A few things to be optimistic about here.

In 2018 Jake Peetz was an offensive assistant with alabama. Alabama had a left handed sophomore QB named Tua. Tua threw for 4K yards 43 td and was second in Heisman voting.

Jerry juedy won the biletnikoff as a sophomore that year.

In the 2018 alabama spring game tua was 50% for less than 200 yards on 37 attempts with 0TD amd 1INT.

Looking for a big year from Max and Boutte

The other thing I noticed is that Max really only has one legit TD pass, which was his last one.

If you cut to the 3:37 mark and pause it, you can clearly see the DE has pulled up and just reaching to touch Max while Max still has the ball.

This. He just doesn’t have it thus far. Not sure how much can be changed in 30 days. He definitely doesn’t have deep arm talent

Really, he definitely doesn't have deep arm talent? Well then, how did Max hit on 65 percent of his passes for 180 yards and 2 touchdowns compared to Myles hitting on only 60 percent of his passes for only 116 yards and 1 touchdown in the Spring Game?

You're obviously on hard drugs or otherwise, out of your freaking mind.
