Thanks for post. I agree about Coach "Mac". He definitely did not take the high road. LSU fans do not need a lesson about making sacrifices because of a big storm. However, he has now made this a rivalry & that is a good thing. We'll see ya in Gainesville next year. Oh yea, got a feeling that Coach Mac will get what he "deserves" in Atlanta.

What did your coach say that caused Fournette to push him? The guy is an adult, he never should have opened his mouth to our player - he should have walked away. I think whatever that coach said got Fournette riled up enough to put the pads on and try to play when he clearly shouldn't have. LF7 did nothing to increase his draft stock and may have hindered LSU with his short gains or yards lost.
According to Musburger, UF was contacted by Alabama, who gave them advice on how to beat Fournette (WTF?) and that's what UF focused on. When LF7 was in sweats, the gameplan was in jeopardy so something needed to be done. Sorry LF7 fell for trash talk...he's going to be hearing plenty of it at the next level.

I guess just getting the play off is an improvement over the past.
On the bright side, i think this is the only way to get the administration to move on from this coach O talk. I love coach O and want him on staff, so its sad that we have to bash the guy and take an awful loss just to make the point that he shouldnt get the HC job.

Agree. Your coach is a goober. Glad he's not our's. You won, scoreboard, and all that... but LSU gave away the game. In the end, probably for the best.

Good OP and I will just sorta repeat RealityTiger's post because it was the best in this thread.....
Florida is the school who refused to play, not LSU. Whether coach or AD, no matter, Florida refused to play and tried to force LSU to lose a home game during our time of tragedy.
frick Florida! We know tragedy and we know how to respond and did so twice in one season during Katrina and Rita. There is your precedent and Florida failed!!!!!
The tragedy in this year's hurricane was not around Gainesville. NC suffered way more and their schools still played that weekend.
