Could someone tell me what those were all about? Is there a story to them? I saw one online a few days ago, and was just curious.

Thanks

ND would not let us wear the home white jerseys, if I remember right, so instead we wore gold jerseys with white helmets, and it worked as we

no the white helmets first came out when LSU played Vanderbilt and the head coach (gerry dinardo) would not let LSu wear white so they wore the gold jerseys with white helmets

No! They left the helmets out in the sun and they faded!

FAIL!

The white helmets were first worn in the Indy Bowl against Notre Dame, as posted above. Although, I don't think it had anything to do with Notre Dame not letting us wear white because they wore navy in that game. I think it was DiNardo's idea.

In the Vandy game, LSU wore gold jerseys, but they also wore gold helmets. The same holds true for the 1998 Florida game.
