I never remember throwing and not being sore as hell the next day.
A lot of that has to do with mechanics. I always iced immediately after coming off. My Dad was fanatical about it, and I didnt touch a baseball for a couple of days.
I was sore, but never sore as hell, and I didnt play travel ball either. These injuries are overuse from 365 day baseball.

The only time my arm ever got sore was when it was not in shape. As the season went on it got better. But it was my fault for not having my arm ready. It’s hard for me to believe almost every pitcher on the team has arm soreness. Coaches didn’t get these guys ready for the season.

I've had "sore arm" a few times in my playing career. When they say sore arm I don't think they are talking about normal soreness from pitching. When we talked about sore arm it was tendinitis, or better known as "tennis elbow."

I bet I could throw a baseball over those mountains.

Was sore after every outing. Deep massage was best medicine for me. Then ice.

When i had to throw a lot of off speed stuff if my fastball did not have the ususal movement, my arm would get very sore. I had to throw between innings to stay loose and to keep from getting too sore believe it or not.
