They are playing the touchdown or pregame mix, whatever you want to call it, which comes from part of Tiger Rag (the hold that tiger part of Tiger Rag).
If the Tiger Band actually played Tiger Rag anymore people might understand that, but they thought it wise to get rid of LSU's biggest musical influence because of a few chants.
