I'm only seeing 8 that are listed on both rosters. Pearson is the only starter from 2023. Jones and Frey were the only others who saw any action in Omaha that could play this year.

Played in 2023 CWS and active now.
Josh Pearson - Starter in 2023 CWS
Jared Jones - 2023 CWS he PH 3 times going 1-3. All in the finals
Ethan Frey - limited action. 1 AB in blowout loss to Florida

Others
Chase Shores - on 2023 roster but DNP was injured
Jaden Noot - on 2023 roster but DNP was injured
DJ Primeaux - Redshirted in 2023
Mic Paul - On the team in 2023. DNP in CWS
Gavin Guidry - played in the 2023 CWS, injured now

This is the norm with the portal these days. But crazy to think we have more former members of the 2023 team playing for other schools than we do have returning players from two years ago.

That's why I made sure to put 'processed' by it.

Only a few might have contributed this year if they were still here. I wanted Moffett to stick around more than any of them, and he barely played at Texas this year. Jay definitely wanted Neal back, but I'm happy that we got Luis instead. I don't think any of us saw Dutton panning out like he did at Auburn. With the exception of Dutton, I don't think there is anyone on that list who would be playing at this point in the season if inserted on to this roster. Jay's obviously way ahead on the guys he's brought in from the portal vs the guys he has 'lost'
