This team would be so good with Smart and Watford.

They should have come back for another year.
They are now going to bounce between the G league and over seas for the next few years. Could have stayed in college and done more there.
Even just Smart would have been great.

We are three games in. We don't know if that is true. Neither of those guys were known for their defense and 3 games in and this squad is going all out.
As of right now, I'm not sure we are missing much to be honest.

Make more money in the G league. It’s not like it used to be, if they don’t get drafted after 2 seasons it ain’t happening. NBA drafts more on potential than college production.

Watford’s selfish lackadaisical attitude would hurt this energy. He holds the ball to long and is far from clutch. Smart definitely would help.

Completely disagree. This team has a completely different personality than those two players. Both were extremely good players, but from a team chemistry standpoint, I do not see these two being a good mix with this group.

Not sure Watford would’ve been a great fit with this bunch tbh. Now if Miller didn’t get hurt OR Smart had come back they’d be really cooking with gas. Hopefully we’ll get Justice Williams and O’Neal back at some point soon too to add to the rotation.

Better than that is Miller not getting hurt. He’s the missing link for this offense being able to score as the clock runs down and to break these long scoring droughts. It makes me ill to think about what should have been.

They seem to be pretty darn good now - light years better defensively.
I love Smart and Watford but neither had the lateral quickness to get after it on defense to anywhere near the degree the gazelles on this team can.
