It's not all on the coaches.
Players hold players accountable no matter whether it's on the field, in the classroom, at practice, after practice work on your own, going out and knowing when to enjoy the nightlife and when to shut it down.

LSU lost a lot of leaders from last year at every position level. That leadership doesn't happen overnight. It's cultivated through the hard work.

When your WR leader and best player opt outs in Jamar Chase what does that tell the rest of the room.
When Shelvin opted out what does that tell the DL room.
Etc Etc

If Brennan was healthy, Marshall and Arik would still be playing
Don’t think our record would be any better tho

These guys SAW Brennan get hurt trying to be a tough leader. You would think they would understand "next man up" and put on their big-boy draws to do what it takes to win instead of quitting whether emotionally or like Gilbert and Marshall, actually leaving.

We have a team full of freshman and our best player is an introvert. All the leaders left, our only real hope is between the new guys coming in and the freshmen that got experience some leaders emerge and build the program back to something respectable sooner rather than later.
