We’ll have many more great players
We’ll win many more trophies
But this moment in time will forever be the moment of all moments
Enjoy it y’all

I hope we all get tired of winning.

I never thought I would be more confident in winning than our 2011 season. I was wrong.
I feel like we could skulldrag anyone at this point!

Only if we win the NC. Otherwise, 1958, 2003, and even 2007 will overshadow this year.

Almost. Two more wins and this may be the greatest season in the history of college football, not just at LSU.

I honestly agree. It just can’t get any better than this

I am very grateful to be alive to see this, every bit of this.

I attended LSU in the 90s. I will never get tired of the winning.

The apex can only be a national championship. Anything else is just gravy.

While I think you are a dumbass regarding politics, you are 100% correct on this.
I’ve never, like most LSU fans, seen us win a Heisman.
This was a moment to see. Let’s finish the job!!!!!!
And build Joey his statue

This should build us years of #1 recruiting classes to come.

Another poster mentioned attending LSU in the 90s. I was a little kid growing up then...so I vaguely remember the good things about LSU football (there were few). Fortunately, LSU won some big games while I was there—South Carolina ‘12, Auburn ‘13, Ole Miss ‘14, and Florida ‘15, with S. Carolina in ‘12 being my favorite. All winning seasons, sure. And having a winning record against Florida while I was there makes me marginally happy because those assholes whipped up on us under Spurrier, and they were a bunch of thugs with a choir boy as their leader.
I attended LSU from 2012-16 (graduated). We were coming off of the 2011 season—we all know what happened. Looking back, LSU never underachieved more than in the years following that dreaded BCS Championship game. While at LSU, the football team had guys from the nos. 1, 9, 8, 13, 6, 2, 5 recruiting classes (average rank of no. 6 from years 2009-15). That’s one whole 10-win season while I was there.
HOWEVER, it was absolutely downright freaking INFURIATING watching the TALENT we had play in an offense that the dinosaurs ran in the Late Cretaceous. To think what MIGHT HAVE BEEN knowing we had the talent to compete at the national level but never did....in all honesty, it was the best time of my life, I wouldn’t trade it for the world, but damn, it was a sad time in the Valley.

Even more frustrating as a kid watching our top pro bowl type talent constantly go out of state due to the programs failing in the 90's. If we had a top rated guy you didn't even bother paying attention, he was going to FSU or Miami. Anywhere but LSU.
I guess that why to some of us Kevin Faulk will always be beloved.
It was special in 03' because of our previous decade of failure. After the UGA game you just felt like that team was different, but they were ever the underdogs in big games. This year has been a different special, the feeling of knowing we have the best player on the field regardless of who is opposing us. It's a confidence I have never felt as an LSU fan.
Here's to hoping Joe gets back to business and handles up as he has all season.

Ahhh yeah, I was too young to really get into recruiting. But I’d imagine if I started out as a four-year-old, then I might be making the big bucks on O’s staff and not on this board. Haha. But you’re right, that’s a very good point I hadn’t considered. I do know that Kevin Faulk was essential to LSU in the 90s, and I’m partial to the Patriots due to Kevin Faulk because I heard the stories from my parents and extended family growing up, then watched his NFL career and just always thinking to myself, “He’s an LSU Tiger.”
Yes indeed! That LSU team was something else. That game was one for the ages. I vividly remember watching the Sugar Bowl against Oklahoma with my mom and little brother while my dad was working. Saban, to me, defines the paradigm shift in LSU’s football history. As much as I dislike the angry imp, he laid the foundation for the modern program. He recruited his arse off; I think it was Mark Richt who said of LSU in 2003, “You look across the field and there’s grown men standing over” or something to that effect. I don’t believe anyone at the time considered investing heavily into the latest and greatest football training infrastructure quite like Saban did. This, in turn, would go on to set the bar for what a program could be and thus became the norm, not the exception.
Lastly, I truly believe this team will be fine. They’ve taken a business approach to every game. Nobody gets the “drop” on us so to speak. Defense is finally healthy. We’ve developed depth in the absence of some key guys. Offense keeps on firing on all cylinders. We’ve outscored our last three opponents 143-37 (mind you Arkansas had some garbage time points). I think Joe will be just fine. Guy showed emotion for the first time in his life upon receiving the Heisman—it’s good to know he’s human! I watched his post-trophy presentation interview, he first thanked Clyde and ended with that he’s ready to get back to Baton Rouge and start prepping.
We comin’

I became a "serious" fan during the hallman years. my first year as a student we were 10-2, but got embarrassed by bama and Florida.
I wont get tired of winning, but if we do reach that point, we will have as many sidewalk joker fans as bama. les miles ran most of those fans off by 2014/5. but they are already coming back.
oh well, worse problems to have
