If he was the only one that may be true.

This is now over 20 players to leave the program in a few months.

Maybe there is something more going on here, no?

You know what snowflake, you can't make a player play. He has to have the want to play, how is that Coach O or any coach on the staff's fault. He says his body is sore/hurting so again you can't make a player play that is already telling you he's hurt. SO stop you're stupidity and leave it at that. That's all we know so move on and support the ones that Want to play.

While I don't know if "his body hurts" IS or is not the actual answer. What you stated indicates he "has no chest."

Your first mistake was taking O's word on that.

You are pathetic if you actually believed “the body hurts” thing. If u were smart you would know if that were true he would stay on campus and just not play vs Florida. It’s like a player is hurt and he just can’t play. If your hurt you don’t just quit the whole season and think about transferring. Something made the dude unhappy. And the person you look to is the leader and the person in charge. And that person in charge is O. And it’s not just Gilbert, there are more. Which means there are some serious issues going on. I mean it would be different if a walk on or bench player did this. But this is a 5* future all American type guy. You can’t just let that slide.

Sit down and let the grown ups talk.
And enjoy your downvotes.

You people will D ride O forever

So, what did he come here to do? Was he counting on another OC, or are you one of those that believe E was calling plays last year?

I'm still waiting to see what your game-changing TE stat line looks like. Not just a "dat boy good".

Not play in Ensminger's system. He came here for Brady's system. He didn't come here to max protect, put it that way.

His stat line would look like a #2 receiver at a typical school most likely. We'll see when he goes somewhere else. I thinking Kelce like stats, around 10 targets a game and around 6 TDs.

We haven’t officially lost him. Feel free to melt away if he enters the transfer portal, which he may do and head to UGA, Tenn, or Bama. But there is still a chance to retain him. It’ll all make sense if we do.

It wouldn't make sense at all actually.

Sure. YOU should go ahead and write that check for the severance of the contract. I mean after all a player left so maybe we should shoot O in the foot too.

Look it’s bad in Baton Rouge but some of y’all need to take a breath and zip up the Velcro on your shoes a little bit tighter. Geezam.

Lol snowflake, so I take it you have talked to Arik?? I didn't think so. So all you are doing is speculating on what may have happened which is a big fat zero. So all we really know is what coach O has said. You can believe it or as you have done, make up your stupid version. You may go now.

Never mentioned lack of Chest, "the want" indicates the desire to play through pain. A decision a player makes and can't be forced to do.

Quick, name the last team to feature a Tight End, and won it all? Get real, it’s OL and QB

O should be fired if he can't right the ship next year. Wins and loses matter. Individual players coming and going make no difference.

Our one from the '03 season is doing time at Angola for shooting up a WBR casino

It does when it's happening at an unprecedented rate and not happening to any of your similar competition.

I think Mark Andrews had something like that at OU with Mayfield in 2017. It was a big increase over 2016 when Westbrook was still there. It's still exceedingly rare, and I think highlights some points I was trying to make.

1) TEs excel when there's a talent vacuum at WR
(maybe '21 LSU?)
2) TEs excel in systems where pass:run approaches 60:40
(10 targets is nearly 1/3 of our pass plays at 50:50)
3) TEs don't have to be in the national top 100 or
physical freaks to be effective. You just have to scheme
them in.

I'm just of the opinion that Gilbert was going to be under utilized if not wasted here. At least to the point where you could plug in a less talented player for similar production.

Maybe. But he had the potential for much more. Why recruit him to not use him?
