Outside of 2019 of course

Listen, I know Bama is Bama, and I am not saying we will win. However, traditionally Nick Saban has had trouble playing quarterbacks that have similar skill sets as Jayden.

Bama has a phenomenal QB in Bryce, but he’s been banged up a few times this year, and doesn’t have what seems to be a true unguardable receiver like Bama has had in the past. In fact, based on the few games I’ve watched Bama this season, Gibbs has been their biggest offensive threat. That dude can flat out play.

Our strength on defense is still in the trenches, Wingo has played phenomenal in place of Smith, BJ can get after the QB, and Gaye is solid in run protection and assignment based defense. Baskerville can move pretty well for a LB and should be able to cover well. I don’t have to say much on 40 that isn’t already on here. Getting Burns back will be huge from a communication standpoint, as he was starting to have a really good season at safety.

Bama’s defense is solid, but not as good as many of their defenses have been in past years. Will Anderson shows up in every other game, and their DB’s are solid. They don’t have a dominant MLB, at least in what I’ve watched. I personally think from a match up stand point we have better receivers and receiving backs than their corners, safety’s, and LB.

The place that they can absolutely abuse us though is special teams. McKinstry is their return man, and I believe he leads the SEC in punt return yards. Almost housed like 3 against Arky. That being said they usually botch a punt snap or miss a FG. We are just going to have to cover punts really well.

Overall I think the key is starting fast on defense. Bryce is very good when he has time to use his feet and create. I think if we can pressure him early and spy him with Perkins, we have a chance.

I really like 8, 11, and 10 in this matchup. Just need to put them in a position to abuse those cbs.

Protect the qb and we have a real shot. That and don’t take an entire half to solve their offense.

I'm concerned w our dbs giving up the big pass has been happening all year long and young isn't a qb who will miss his mark often, but if we can get him off his game and slow down Gibbs things could get interesting

Please no special teams f ups lol

2018 was also very favorable. To this day one of the biggest letdowns in lsu history.

I don’t know. That was a far more talented Bama team, and our stud receivers weren’t studs yet. Brossette wasn’t a great back. Offense just wasn’t as good. Our D was stout that year though.

Honestly I think it will come down to Special Teams. LSU’s 2 losses & Bama’s loss had poor special teams play.

I think Burrow had a separated shoulder that he didn’t disclose.

Didn’t matter if Burrow was in the best shape of his life. We weren’t winning that 2018 game.

Three Alabama offensive players of concern:
- QB Bryce Young ( obviously)
- RB Jahmyr Gibbs ( really special )
- TE Cameron Latu (matchup nightmare)

Tigers will score because our OL will be able to give Daniels just enough to make things happen.

Matt House needs to work his magic and the Tigers have the defensive talent to create havoc.

Special teams needs to continue making positive strides, building on the improvement they made against OM.

I know they're playing well but having 2 true freshman tackles against Will Anderson and Dallas Turner is not ideal.

Not ideal, but these dudes aren't your typical highly rated freshman OL.
Campbell and Jones are anomalies! Unbelievable physical and mental attributes!

In 2018 Devin White was out the 1st half too for a BS targeting call the game before. Rec going to Rec

Agree with that. It's WR vs DB. Could be a game changer

was it? We had the talent obviously but we weren't slinging it around by that point.

That's the most necessary facet for beating Bama

Enough with this. One of the darkest periods in LSU history.

People really seem to think it is Southern vs LSU whenever LSU plays Alabama. LSU has always had the talent/matchups to face Alabama. Luck, coaching, and just players making plays has hindered them
