Sparked by quarterback Jake Locker’s 321-yard passing night and Chris Polk’s 90 yards rushing, Washington dissected the defense for 478 total yards — more than they allowed in any game a year ago.
Locker also ran for 51 yards and was the key to Washington deviling LSU on third downs. The Huskies converted 7 of 9 in the first half, six with 8 or more yards to go.

On a glass half full note... all those yards and only 23 pts allowed. Not saying this is good though

Not as good as Ole Miss, Bama, Florida or even the offense that Arkansas will roll out.

Those stats would be embarrassing against anyone - UF, OU, Texas, etc.

Is there any reason why we can't do better than that other than mediocre coaching on defense?

Oh, it's good alright. We will look back on this game and we will have a great win over a quality opponent when it is all said and done. I'm not that worried about the first game of the season. Jake Locker will probably pick apart the best of the defenses out there including USC.

They had a crappy QB last year. More production on offense leads to a rested defensive and better play.

i was a little agitated and ranted a bit last night and this morning, but after taking another look at it; UW might have better offensive scheme and players than most people think. one thing for sure, time will tell!

I thought that after auburn last year...and after MSU's QB had a good night against us...

I don't know; i hope this isn't a repeat of last year.

That's what I thought after the Auburn game last year. I kept thinking we will open the play book, we will get creative, our defense will improve etc. etc. etc. Never happened.
