so, basically i can't say that Les Miles is a retard because you think he can beat me up?
Damn, this is a funny response. Just like a few posters on here that act as if we are supposed to be afraid of them when they portray themselves as Rant enforcers. WOOO, the chills that come over me when that happens....

Really ? Where were you sitting ?
How many home games did you make this year ? And at those games, how many times did you stand up to get the crowd going ?
Chris Guillot is the epitome of an LSU Baseball fan. When you are doing more for the team than he is then you might have a case to talk about him. Until then, check the guy in the mirror.

Agreed and another problem is people taking this place way too seriously. (which is happening in this thread)
Guillott is the epitome of a cheerleader. I can shut up and watch the game and be just as much of a fan as he is.

He quit, Comeaux. There is no room for quitters around LSU.

I don't know who is trying to "enforce" anything. There are some of us on here who disagree with name-calling and demeaning our coaches, especially those who have won national championships for our school. No one can stop you from acting like a spoiled child because our coaches aren't perfect or because you prefer a predecessor who is never coming back.
But just like I can stop you from acting like an assclown, you can't stop me from portraying the opposite side of the argument. As the thread title says, "This is a discussion forum."
I just hope LSU achieves a measure of success in 2010 to make posters of your and Maximus' mindset rarer next offseason.

Hence a NW State fav team.

I hope we go 4-8 and Les gets fired. FAN UP!!!! You have to make an incision to cut out the poison arrow.

Ok, he quit when ? After doing what did he quit ?
Explain your words so that the value of them can be revealed.

Go watch the game, Comeaux. 2 outs in the ninth, he quit. I guess you quit too since you didn't see it.

If he goes less than 8-4, he will be fired. He might even get canned at 8-4 if the team wins ugly like last year.
That being said, I don't want to suffer through a season like you describe. I actually want LSU to win.
Honest question, what would have to happen next year for you to back off Les? Let's say he goes 13-1 and wins the BCS title? Is that enough? How about 10-2 regular season and either a BCS or New Years Day bowl win?

OK, I think any person calling for more bunting has obviously not watched an LSU game over the past 20 years, or has not been paying attention. LSU has won six titles in 20 years, a record of usccess even unmatched by the New York Yankees, by eschewing small ball. This is the one time big ball failed. It happens, no strategy is 100% effective, but I'll go with the one that has resulted in this massive evel of success.
But if PM really wanted to bunt late in Game One (which we won), he should have sent up a pinch hitter for Gaudet. If he bunted Gibbs in the 8th inning of a 1-run game, I would have been tempted to stab him. That's EXACTLY who you set the table for.

thats like asking me how much charity work would Derrick Todd Lee have to do before I wanted to set him free. Les Miles is a terrible coach, that will never change. If he lucks into another national title (which will never happen) I don't see that as a reason to blindly support him for eternity.

But, to me, if you don't have the stones to say it to their face, you probably should not make the comment.[/quote]
this...bigtime. only problem with TD is that it is permeated with many who never tire of identifying themselves as the 'gutless backshooters' that they are. redundancy in airship systems is a good thing...the redundant, simplistic crap spewed by some of the idiots who come here is, frankly...boring.
as far as PM's decision to hit away in the eighth...Earl Weaver once said that success on the diamond is accomplished with, "pitching, defense and three run homers." obviously PM thought that playing for the big inning was worth the gamble...sometimes the magic works, sometimes it doesn't.

so people who don't criticize coaches and the coaches themselves are super tough badasses but everyone who criticizes a coach has to go SAY IT TO HIS FACE AT WALKONS PUNK or he is a pussy?

I watched every pitch.
My point - where were you ? You are drilling a guy that spends countless hours and dollars supporting our baseball team.
He is volunteering his time and resources, it's not a job. You saying Chris quit is like a Security Guard blaming the Marines for Vietnam... you have no right.
I'm sure you were comfortable sitting on your couch while he was screaming his head off at the game.
