“Stuff we haven’t been able to practice against..”
-Nick Saban

And here is your key to hanging with Alabama. Try running plays where they don’t know exactly what you’re going to do. And of course, recruit better linemen.

This is what Saban actually said. Sounds like he’s admitting lack of preparation. Why wouldn’t you prepare for things that have worked against you?

With an experienced OL and QB, two stud RB’s in Emory and Davis coming in, talented WR’s just like Clemson, there’s NO reason why LSU shouldn’t be capable of scoring on Bama enough to win.

He called it “copy cat stuff” and I think he regrets he said that too. It sounded like he was trying to rephrase that statement

Isn’t that the exact same thing that K. Smart said after LSU beat Georgia?

Saban is a master of figuring out what you want to do, and taking it away from you. That’s why Les got destroyed by Saban. Les just kept doing it. If LSU wants to beat Bama they have to reserve some things for that game, then use the two week break to put it more crap Bama hasn’t seen.

-and I told myself last week- “ I wonder why a coach would not take every play that has ever worked against them and build a game plan?

Yep. Give burrow and our RBs a good enough OL and we can beat them. AND of course, better play calling.

My interpretation of what he meant was they were doing stuff they haven't seen them do on film, Clemson copied what other teams did against them that was successful.

Seems pretty obvious doesn't it. And it would stand to reason that it would work assuming the talent level of the team trying it had the same or better talent that pulled it off the first time.

Saban would have to prepare for us and EVERY play that was successful against them. That is pretty enormous amount of preparation.

They're blocking them...that's the first step to having a successful offense. That's football. We will be better next season.

Our vaunted 2013 offense still only managed 17pts against Bama. More talent is needed but no one will have better talent than Bama so coaches need to work around that. For a decade now LSU has been hopeless on offense no matter the personnel.
