You obviously have not been to the Box when two teams (not involving LSU) have played, like at a regional. There are maybe 250 fans in the seats. Last weekend when Alcorn played Air Force there were fewer fans there than go to an LSU scrimmage....and there was no charge to get into the stadium!

ask him what went into his decision to use DeMarini this year. Did the players have any input?
Those are good questions, Dear Leader. I'll try to work them into the Q & A session.

If the other 2 teams are Tulane and ULL there will be plenty of fans in the box. Also more than 250 LSU fans would go to watch Tulane play Texas for example.

Does anyone know if highschool players are using the same bats?

Yep. DMs, Marruchi's and 5150's seem to be the favorites. My 8th grader plays JV, swings a Cat5 and he can reach the wall in their park. The bats are not the problem.

I know you don't want to ask about the schedule because we all know the answer is $, but see if you can incorporate the new RPI formula into the question (1.3 for road wins, .7 for home wins, 1.0 neutral).

Going on the road OOC can go along way toward RPI strength considering we have been bubble talk consistently during his tenure. Not to mention being prepared for going on the road in SEC play.

That is not very promising.

True but I would rather lose to good teams than App. St.

App. St. won't prepare us for SEC play.

Dude they beat us 2 out of 3

Why Is J. Jones still hitting? He's clearly struggling and should give a bat to someone else to get a chance? Is there no one else who can play CF?

Did you miss Saturday's game? Jones was benched and only came in as a pinch runner in the 9th.

Getting swept by Rice is better than losing 2 out of 3 to App. St.

If you can, ask him what the non conference schedule for next year is looking like.

He has enough to worry about this year.

Why do LSU batters take the first pitch 90% of the time?

Why do our pitchers always throw a dirt ball on an 0-2 count?

Why does your hitting coach not break freshman of their bad hitting habits?

Why do LSU hitters' batting averages get WORSE the longer they're at LSU?

They don't.

How do you know what the freshmen's bad hitting habits are when they arrive at LSU?

They don't. At least not all players. Some do, some don't.

Do you have any intelligent questions you'd like me to ask?

going to those meetings creeps me out same with gridiron club and 6th man. rather just give the money. Plus if I were to give that much money in the future it'd be to an organization I was a part of and benefited from.

I watch a LOOOOOOOOT of baseball, and those are questions that need to be answered. One criticism of Sanchez is that he doesn't teach a "style" of hitting. He allows hitters to use whatever technique they used in high school. He does not break them of bad technique if they have it. The problem with Sanchez as the hitting coach (thank God they finally got him off of 3rd base) is that he doesn't really "coach" players on how to hit.

I've been going to at least 1 game a week (even away weekends) since the mid skip era and what I see in our hitting concerns me.

The 0-2 dirtball is legendary (this has actually been the case since Skip was coach).

The stare at the first pitch has been something I've complained about since I noticed it during Smoke's tenure.

I'm not a negatiger, just a concerned baseball fan who will support this team no matter what.
