Worst Win : Last year North Carolina. At home, dominated first half, half their team wasn't playing and we barely won knocking down a pass on the last play with a borderline pass interference no call.

Worst win - 2008 Troy, hands down
Best loss - 2004 Auburn, lost 10-9 to a 14-0 SEC Champ with four NFL 1st rounders when we had weak QB play on the road.

Tennessee last year was the worst win ever.

Any loss to a team from that state 2 over to the east is a killer to me. I stay sick for days after we lose to them.... no matter the score!

A "best loss" is still a loss.

No doubt. A loss became a win.

AGREED.

Not here though. I would go with the 2003 FLA loss. That loss fired the team up to get them to the NC.

So much fail in this post.

The Mississippi State game of last year was one of the team's better performances. A lot of people thought we were't any good at this point in the season, and we beat them by 3 TDs. Also had one of Peterson's best games.

"The Mississippi State game of last year was one of the team's better performances."

the poster is referring to the game from the year before in which Chad Jones ran the punt back and we had a goal line stand to hold on for the win.

If we're using overall effect on the program going forward as the main criterion, I will go with at home against Houston in 1999 as best loss. It was the straw that broke the camel's back, got DiNardo fired, and ultimately Saban hired.

Edit: Not post-2000, so it doesn't technically count anyway.
