You mean candidates for our head coaching position that is currently not open? You mean candidates that are still coaching their teams right now?

I wonder why?

Jesus Christ there's a bunch of first class SJW pussies on here

You don't know shite if it was leaked or not
No one owes a god damn list or no list of fricking candidates

Ed O. or Felipe whatever the frick his name is doesn't matter one iota to LSU's future success.

Typical media hysteria and fan message board bullshite is all that's feeding this shite and bus's full of asshats lining up to hang the AD when all he's done is pick up a fricking newspaper article with ONE freaking report in it.

Sit back, relax, and let the thing play out and eat a turkey in a few days.

Jesus H fricking lord in heaven

I don't know why, but I feel like this is a turning point for our team. I think change is a good thing and will reinvigorate the program and we will see positive changes once these wheels of change starts turning.

5 years ago? Really? When we were 10-1? A year before the best team we've fielded since probably 2003 or maybe even 1971? Perhaps the best ever?

Yeah we fell apart 5 years ago

It's true. Saban killed this program on 1/9.

We're going to get a good coach who can do something with all of this talent. We're too good for this mediocre bullshite

Been happening for some time now- Franks told them a month ago he was decomitting. After that Alabama debacle and then the other two what do you expect. It would only get worse with Miles staying. Perhaps if he were to make wholesale changes in staff and schemes he could salvage things. Nothing, however in his past suggest he would have done these things.

Signing day is mid January, if Franks is outta here I'm glad he said it now. Having Miles or the new coach relying on his commitment then getting punked with a few days left would be much worse than now. We have time to replace him.

So you're saying they wait until after they fire Les to find someone? They will have their guy in place by the time they fire Miles or else we are going to end up downgrading like we did with Steele. The only positive about Scott Rabalais leaking the information of Les's job status is that it puts all those coaches out there on alert that might be interested before other HC jobs become open.

The damage is done and there isn't repairing it. Only thing worse is if Jimbo Fisher bails after telling Alleva he would take the job.

Even if Fisher takes the job he still will have to deal with a large number of Pro-Miles fans who won't like him regardless of how successful he is. There is going to be a lot of resentment surrounding Les's ouster.

We would've just wasted Frank's talent anyways. This is just another example of how Les can't get this program on track offensively. He decommitted long before the staff change rumors. We get a new staff, players will come. Be patient. Change is necessary though.

Les miles job security is leaked and will likely be fired

See. This is incorrect. This is why you can't trust the fervor whipped up on message boards. It's like it's own little society that represents probably under half of the fanbase. No leaks. Untruths. Don't believe everything you hear.

No, I'm saying they aren't going to release a list of candidates if the position is not open. It's not my fault you're ignorant enough to think that if the plan is to fire Miles, they don't already have a list and haven't already made calls. Just because you haven't heard anything doesn't mean that nothing is being done. Believe it or not, the administration's number 1 priority is not to keep fans informed during times like this.

Scott Rabalais leaked the information to the public in case you were wondering.

So.... the wheels aren't falling off.

Good thing the AD is handling this in an A+ fashion.

That's a huge assumption. I would say it depends on the coach. And with the number of school that have, or are expected to have openings at the end of the season, competition for quality coaches is gonna be fierce. I wouldn't assume that a school who fired a coach with the 2nd most wins in the SEC and the 6th most wins in the FBS is going to be all that attractive.

I"m aware that Joe Alleva did offer Chavis a pay raise but didn't bend over and allow Chavis to negotiate a contract that no asst coach in the country gets. I'm aware that Chavis was part of the highest paid asst coaching staff in the country, yet our defense was bad in 2013, and we lost 5 games in 2014. That's 8 losses in two years for the highest paid staff in the country. Alleva was tired of excuses and wanted to see a good product on the field.

2nd most wins in the SEC, eh? How'd that work out for us in 2012? We got slotted for the 6th best bowl. How bout 2013? We lost 3 games with all-world talent. How bout 2014? We lost 5 games and ended up in the prestigious Music City Bowl.
