the big east has/had some really good coaches

exactly, they got lucky with a couple of up-and-comers who both fled because of the shitty conference that it is and went on to real jobs where they could get real talent and shoot for real accomplishments

Urrutia was nowhere to be found without Petrino, and they managed to only score 17 against UCONN, 24 against Cincy and 17 against South FL

kelly is still at cinci
schiano is still at rutgers
kragthorpe = good "up and comer"
edsell has been at UConn for forever
leavitt has been at USF for forever
wanny is anything but an "up and comer"

yeah rich rod left and so did petrino, but the big east coaching roster is pretty beastly

on neutral programs (to compare), would you rather tressell, paterno, ferentz, d'antoni, etc? brown, stoops, pinkell, mangino, etc?

because their offensive talent fricking blows outside of beanie and a couple OL

you're the guy who falls in love with talent. where is it on OSU?

and OU passes and runs. it isn't all just about passing (but i am leery to expect murray to be 100%)

Wells, Barton and Robiskie could all be first round picks.. the OL is great perenially and they have enough passing game to compliment the run

Plus, their D perenially towers over WV's D

Terrell Pryor will be a beast, Beanie wells might be the Heisman winner this year and a first round pick next year and Robiskie has been projected as high as Round 1 in many early mock drafts

but henne had talent. so did manningham (compared to the DBs he faced at least). hart is only a 4-year starter

and their talent goes well beyond QB and RB. they have top 10 classes almost every year.

4 DCs in 4 years

chizik was the DC in 2005 and was the DC in 2006

the coaching turnover isn't an argument. and they were LOADED with talent

Terrell Pryor will be a beast,

this year?

and i have respect for beanie. before last year i put him in my top 5 RBs and the rant hard a hart atack

robiskie is a 6-1, 4.60 WR who excels playing agianst DBs who are somehow less athletic than he is

i think schiano goes to PSU when it opens

but kelly has a lot of skeletons in his closet i think

and the point is that they have the coaches, right now. not guessing where they may end up

I said perennially... WV will probably never be in the Top 10 in any defensive category for the next 10 years... tOSU is at the top most years ..big difference

He's in his second year there SFP...Dantonio was there but bolted for MSU.

OSU doesn't use TE for much more than blocking.
Doesn't need an all-star QB...I wouldn't call Matt Flynn, Chris Leak, or Craig Krenzel the most stellar QB. Boeckman needs to be a game manager who plays mistake free football, something he didn't do the best with in the last 4 games of the season. That's all they need, not a Vincy Young or Troy Smith.

As far as WR, Robo is an above average wide out and Hartline is great in the slot.

They need better offensive play calling though, and their OC is not the best. For example the play where Brandon Saine caught that pass out of the backfield and got like 30 yards in the MNC last year. Why isn't shite like that ran more? OSU has all of the tools to have one of the most balanced offensive attacks in the country but either go too much to pass or too much to run at any given time.

Where's Kelly gonna go?

The coaching carousel won't be in full swing like it was this past offseason, I don't think.

Something like that but more importantly, every other post in this thread is one of his and it's quite annoying.
