Well yes then all of these people are bastards, especially the ones who know absolutely nothing about anything but fall into the above category.

You shouldn't vote on how you think it will end up.
that's your opinion (and mine)
but there are different voting strategies, esp early

Ohio State has a great chance of making the NC game because if they can get by USC, they have a joke schedule the rest of the way. You should vote based on who you think would win if the two teams played on a neutral site right now.
that won't make anyone happy b/c then its like 4 SEC teams in the top 10
then 2 of those SEC teams lose to crap opponents (UF) or get blown out (arkansas)
so how can you justify it

I voted for an experienced team with their biggest ? mark being an experienced Todd Boeckman. I have no idea how they'll finish.

If you are one of the voters (which I'd assume you are) I wasn't talking about you.

i honestly don't know who is all in the 44 (i am), but it expanded this year and it took a lot to get included
i was not part of that process at all

I actually voted purely on who I thought was a better team. I still had OSU at number 1.
UGA has big questions on the O-Line, WR, and defensive depth. Stafford yet to prove much of anything to me.
USC has big questions on O-Line, WR, and QB.
UF- UF is pretty solid to start the season, but there are tons of depth and injuries issues for this team.
OU- Questions about passing D and receiver.
LSU- Questions about QB and CB.
Out of these I think OSU has the fewest questions.
Thier O-Line is really good. Their defense is comparable to anyone in the country. Beanie Wells is IMO the most complete back in the nation. Their WRs aren't world beaters, but at least consistent. Their only real question is whether or not Boeckman can make a play or two. All he needs to do is be Matt Mauck.

Whatever you say. Missouri and West Virginia receiving a first place vote each disproves this

This is why you aren't voting. OSU's schedule is going to be difficult playing on the road at Wisky (where they haven't won in a retardedly long time), at MSU (which should be a top 15 team when they play them), and at Illinois - another place where OSU never plays good.

mizzou is an "expectation" pick
i picked WV b/c i think they're the team at the top with the fewest question marks right now
and i've said i could see other teams ending up ahead of them (UF, UGA, USC, and OU mainly), but they all have big "ifs"

Those are the people I am mainly speaking of.
I got nominated to vote in the top 25, but the fig pack stood up and revolted against my nomination. Apparently they know me well enough to know that I don't know shite about college football.
There isn't a person on this board (with the exception of one) that know who I am IRL. I have no doubt that my knowledge on college sports is far greater then probably at least half of the voters.
BTW..I'm not trying to make it sound like I know everything, but I have done more then my fair share of research on the upcoming college football season. It used to be part of my job.
Edit: FWIW..I would have voted OSU #1 also.

No, I'm not voting because I didn't try to get in on it until it was too late.

And every year at the end of the season when Ohio State gets absolutely crushed by a real team from the SEC, we see that the teams like Wisconsin and MSU weren't that good after all.

WV would run wild on OSU, taking them out of their gameplan. and WV blitzes a lot.

With or without question marks, West Virginia gets beat by Ohio State, Georgia, Southern Cal, Florida, LSU, and and maybe Missouri right now on a neutral site.
And back to question marks, what is so question free about West Virginia's D-line and secondary?
