I wouldn't say excellent.

Let's go with effective, then. Certainly he is "successful", which is the word you used in the OP.

ATL - you are a solid poster and I could be wrong but I will send you $20 if you can find a reputable mock that had Buster going in the 1st round.

I am big fan of Clayton and Reed.

The only reason Clayton stayed in the league that long was from his 1st season Total bust after that.

Reed was incredible at LSU. I had big expectations for him. He has been very average at best; his highest TD total in a season is 2. He has too be as big as Steve Smith or Lee Evans. Not hating, it's just what's true.

Right. His situation probably worked out the best for him, coming to NO and getting to catch one of the best in the league. I think if he goes anywhere else, hardly anyone has heard of him.

And I'm not trying to be cheeky. I wasn't "hatin" on anyone, but you have to admit that out of what I would call a bunch of excellent college receivers, only one of them has really panned out. Doucet has potential if he could stay healthy, and to be honest, I didn't get to watch too many Bills games to know how Reed really did over there. Just the stats. You can say that yes, he did a good job in the complimentary role, but who was really expecting that from him after his years here? Like with Clayton, I expected big things, and would always check the Buffalo box score to see how well he did. Maybe it was too lofty of an expectation, but hard not to have it. I don't know what the deal is with Davis. He's had two great pass catchers to play behind as well, but I think you have to make at least a little bit of a dent.........which I will admit, Doucet has to some degree. He just needs a better situation.

And to be honest, if NO resigns Moore to a long term deal, I would be all that upset if they let Henderson go at some point. I love the guy, but Moore has been more dependable over the last couple of years.

i think the list of wrs drafted in the 1st and 2nd rds listed would be a good recruiting tool. you could argue that if you come to LSU and play wr, you will be drafted high, even if you aren't that special of a talent

The difference between Reed and these guys is about 3/10ths of a second in the 40. He would have had to be in the right offense to be a highly successful short route slot guy but he was in Buffalo.

Wow, not sure what your expectations are. Lack of success compared to what?
