However, it was interesting to do the exercise and it really didn't take much time.

Not really interesting, not applicable in any way, and what ever amount of time was too much.

The game comes down to 4-5 keys:

1.) Can LSU control the LOS and be effective on first two downs. If we can have third and short versus third and long is huge for this team with Lee at the helm.

2.) Can our new kickers perform well.

3.) LSU cant afford dumb turnovers. IE: Int on third and long while in field goal range (Lee and Jefferson Specials)

4.) What happens with our new return men?

5.) Injuries: Is Blackwell ready to go? How is Sams knee in game time?

6.) Mingo may physically harm one of the Ducks, we may cramp up during the delay.

I will give you that. AU last year did have more experience than our D this year, but our D is still bigger, especially in the middle (a lot of AUs weight comes from their big DEs).

In the middle they were rotating 3 senior DT that were all around 300 pounds. The big difference were the ends and their ILBs. Bynes was a senior Mike that was big.

how many total yards do you see each team having bison?

I think both teams end up scoring between 14-24 pounds and getting around 350 yards.

Fairley was the only elite DL on that team. Carter was talented at DE, but Blanc and Clayton were just typical SEC DL's. Fairley made that whole defense work. He was special.

My only concern is Hatcher whiffing on tackles at Lber when OU backs hit their running lanes.

Then again...AU's Lbers weren't studs either.

Unfortunately, due to their positions -- not all of those guys will be on the field at the same time. I wish we could trade out 1 safety and maybe 1 corner back for two equiv. line backers, or maybe just 1 safety for 1 lb for those who think Nickel is a legit base defense.

Bynes was pretty good backer. He was a 6'2" 240 Mike that ran a 4.44 combine time.

Fairley wasn't just elite but he was a top 5 draft pick if it weren't for character issues, which dropped him to 13.

Francois won't be on the field that much. Baker and Hatcher are your 2 Lbers in the nickel.

And no...I dont think Francois will be drafted.

Bison, how's your freshman center been doing? Handling the shotgun snaps reliably? Haven't heard much about him.

Yeah, he had a slow time. My google search came up with a non NFL time.

what lsu fans dont realize is that chip and company dont really designated starters because so many people play, oregon's do will rotate 20-25 players through out a game, a ton of players have alot of expierience, just becuase they arent listed as the " starter " the homers on this board think we have a bunch of first timers playing, well keep thinking that, your gonna be suprised how well oregons d plays, count on it!

Ha ha...he's trying to turn AU's D into the '85 Bears!!

Bynes ran a 4.8 at his pro day and was sooo talented that he wasn't even drafted.

Trust me Duck Fan...your Ducks are going to play against a better D next week.

Grasu is a redshirt freshman, not like hes just out of high school, but he is doing well, he will be the starting center, so that must mean something!

The only center that was having snap issue was Stevens. Grasu has been good. Grasu played center with our backup Bennett in high school for Crespi, an elite California program. They run the same offense. He is very cerebral and highly athletic. He was top 3 in all of the S&C metrics. Top 20 yard electric, second best squat, etc.

Dude, I just corrected that post. My google search pulled a non NFL combine result. Probably one of those hand timed 40s.

What the quack are you talking about? You are on the wrong board if you believe any of this crap. Most poeple on this board would just keep believing our offense sucks. You must be new, here.

Y'all act like y'all are the only team in the nation that does this...

LSU rotated as many players on D last year as Oregon did. Its no big deal. Everyone does it. You can stop repeating like a broken record.

I hope you are right but that is a pretty bold statement considering Freak hasn't even played one down.
