just wondering if everyone remembers sabans last year in baton rouge? the man is an awesome coach but not likely to run the table year after year. not in this confrence.

the bottom line is that when u look at it on paper, Alabama will be preseason #1 in college football next year. McElroy is back, Ingram/Trent Richardson are back, and Julio Jones/Maze are back. They just need to replace McClain, Cody, and Arenas.

Bama is replacing less on offense and defense than what LSU is set to lose. They also do not lose the senior leadership that LSU will.

Of course some of these people are same ones who said this year Bama was going to lose 3 games because of offensive line/running back/QB losses.

No I don't think so.

How self-serving is this? Almost every fan of an SEC school claims the SEC is the best and toughest conference in the country. And that if "fill in the blank" played in the SEC they would never go undefeated.

But as soon as a certain team with a certain coach gets into the BCSNCG all of a sudden the rest of the teams in the SEC revert to being the "also play in's" a la the Pac-10? Alabama is not invincible and won't be in the future.

You are doing your conference a disservice by casting aside the talent of its other programs because you like to puff out your chests for the first time since 1992 and pat yourselves on the back. 2009 Bama is a good team no doubt, but take a couple steps down the ladder and join reality. Or stop claiming that the SEC is the best conference and stick to your future SEC one-man-show consecutive NC's horse shite.
