Holding call was the worst call ,the spearing call could have went either way, he led with his helmet and hit him with his arms, I thought it wasn't warranted but I'm a tiger fan ...overall they did a decent job

That's a great question. I wondered about that myself. If someone tries to commit pass interference but misses hitting the receiver, would that be a penalty?

Nothing I said was wrong. He led with his helmet to try and tackle the guy

No, sorry bro, you are wrong. He led with his shoulder. Watch the replay.

Is there really an "intent" rule?

Not allowed to 'target' an opponent using the top of a helmet. The rule defines tackling versus punishment.

I think Loston led with his head but the fact he MISSED means he didn't commit a penalty. There's no "being dumb" penalty. Had Loston made contact, sure, it should've been a penalty, but I think the fact he missed is kind of critical. I see HOW the official missed the call, but he still missed it.

The holding call was baffling and the bad spot was just incompetent officiating. It was literally right in front of the official. How do you miss that call?

He doesn't have to connect. He led with his helmet trying to tackle the guy. It was not a bad penalty call. I would maybe change my opinion if he was leading with his shoulder, but it certainly didn't look like that to me.

It was a bullshite call on leading with the helmet. contact must be made for it to be a personal foul. heres the rule LINK

You gotta be kidding me. Loston tried to tackle the guy with the top of his helmet. I don't care if he didn't hit him, that was a dumb fricking move on his part. Why the hell would you try and tackle someone like that?

I realize that people can be convicted of "attempted" murder", but I was unaware that attempted spearing was a penalty.

We was trying to make a play that would have been a penalty, but he missed. Should not have been called

Refs did NOT have a good game tonight. But not nearly as bad as SEC refs... especially when an Alabama team is involved.

This X 100!

SEC refs suck!
