Look, I just want to say what I am about to say is 100% true. I don't want to come across as that dude who is speculating or lies about his or her connection. But this whole Miles stuff right now has mad and all these joker posters on here making up shite about what they thought happened with Miles, Alleva, F king, and Jindal.

My good friend is friends with F King Alexander and we ran into him after that whole fiasco last November. He told us the following details.

The rumor about Jimbo was 100% true. F King, Alleva, and I think the boosters too got a hold of Jimbo's agent. Jimbo was more than interested in the job if it was available. Jimbo always wanted the LSU job. The negations went back and forth until Jimbo's agent said "If y'all make it $6.5 million per year, he said he will walk to Baton Rouge tonight." LSU was absolutely excited. Jimbo's conditions also included him cleaning out a lot of the staff like Cameron. They had no issue with that. (All this was done with the agent so that's why LSU and Jimbo could say they never talked to each other because the agent was the middle man. Go look at last years FSU press conference, I think Larry Leo had it as a topic, when Jimbo was asked if he talked to LSU about the job and look how bad he lies and just awkwardly shakes his head. He looked pissed just thinking about what could have been).

They go start to crunch numbers with Miles' contract and the coaches it was well over $30 million for the buyout. This was at a time where LSU had been cutting and/or was going to continue to cut professors, classes, etc. Jindal got word of this and was concerned about how national perception would make us look for getting rid of a winning coach for $35 million while we are firing professors and such. Even though Jindal and all the others knew the athletic budget is spectate, Jindal want the negative publicity( I'm not a Jindal hater btw, I voted for him, just telling what I heard). Also, F king had to go before the LSU legislature and review the precious year. With pressure from governor and how legislature and people would react to budget cuts and miles being bought out for so much, he knew said "there's no way I'd still have a job."

Again, even though they know they have the money in the athletic budget, public perception would make F king look like an a-hole. (And he wasn't wrong, remember how the media ripped us a new one about trying to fire our winningest coach and how all he does is win 10 games, so what he doesn't beat Bama, blah blah blah)So basically they keep miles tell Jimbo sorry. Alleva and F king apparently ripped into Miles telling him "SEC championship or bust." Miles agreed and agreed to change the offense. I got the impression they have no issue booting miles after this season if he doesn't come through.

Other fun tidbit. Mark Richt(former coach of Georgia and current coach at Miami) apparently called us asking for the offensive coordinator position. He was shot down as well.

There's also some other story I'm forgetting about Miles being an absolute hard arse to deal with. It was something about us carrying out the French flag for a game or doing a tribute and Les wasn't cool with it. Then we did it, were like the first ones in the country to do it. Army called and asked if they could copy us and said how great of an idea they thought it was and Les basically took all the credit for it even though it was F king and Allevas people's idea.
So, I don't care if you don't believe me. Read em and weep.

Edit: the flag part. Just had a friend remind me.
Edit 2: Spacing the paragraphs and My friend reminded me about Jimbo saying he'd walk to Baton Rouge, not fly, if the $6.5 million a year was set.

I'll never forgive that piece of crap Jindal for that. We should have told him to get lost. We had Jimbo until he got in the way

I've heard variations of this story before. I think that there is enough smoke here to know there was fire burning behind the scenes. It was all centered around some bullshite public perception, which is pathetic.

The real question is what happens if we go back after this season? Is the Jimbo bridge burned?

This all makes sense to me. It was too late by the time Jindal dropped out of the Presidential election

The three-ringed circus this turned into? Bridge burned, and once again, we can thank our politicians for getting involved in things they need to stay out of…
