It amazes me how you guys speculate these kid's family/financial situation to fit your narrative about NIL or a player's character.

Its unfortunate he's leaving...but we dont know shite about Heard's reason for leaving.

*Maybe he promised the the RT spot and was told Emery would move down to guard.

*Maybe Emery doesn't want to move to guard because there's much more money/draft value playing Offensive Tackle going into his draft eligible season.

*Maybe he doesn't want to sit behind Emery or Campbell for another season when he could go start for another program for 2 seasons and be prepared to go pro after his 3rd year.

*Is NIL money an added factor? Probably so... but people leave jobs everyday for a better salary/opportunity. That now applies to CFB. Its free agency... It is what it is.

I thought the majority of people on this board were happy players are getting paid? I’m confused now. Anytime money is involved it won’t always go the way you think.

Heard is a 5 star OT with a maximum 4 years to showcase his talent and minimum 2 before really getting life changing money in the draft. All you have to do is find a team with an open spot at OT and that’s where he is going.

If he starts next year and the year after and turns into what a 5 star should he could easily go top 10. If he sits at LSU or doesn’t play OT he could be stuck in college 3 years versus 2. He’s taking the quickest way to the money while cashing in now also. People are just getting in their feelings because it involves the school they are a fan of.
