We know that the '16 Tigers are accountable for the full seasons record. Too bad for us.

Yet, if we were going on the post-Miles era, there is no question that the Coach O-coached Tigers would be in the top 4, perhaps as high as #2.

And he didn't even get to interview and hire from a large candidate pool of OC's, promoting the TE coach to the job.

He has earned our confidence.

Jimbo will be too costly.

Herman is a flight-risk to another program, if we could get him to begin with.

I see no advantage in Fedora over Coach O.

I am rooting hard for the man to dominate Florida and TAMU, and to get rewarded on Thanksgiving weekend with the job.

As Coach O always does to end his statements:

Actually, I do not see any benefit in Jimbo over Coach O. Jimbo runs a pro-style run first offense, that is only marginally better than what Miles runs and he is a far worse recruiter than O.

If only there were a board where we could discuss coaching changes...

Jimbo can work with QB's and make them better.

If he doesn't go to Texas this year, he most likely won't go at all.

Unless, Strong stays put and Herman signs an extension. Then it's obvious he's just holding out an extra year.

Don't forget Vegas has LSU as the third ranked team in America right now. Coach O deserves a ton of credit and if Saban wasn't so damn smart and wouldn't have scooped up sark to keep O from hiring him we'd be in the playoffs as of now. But saying Jimbo is too costly isn't right and you can forget about Herman because he's off the list. I love O and what he's done but if Jimbo wants the job you give him the job.

Losing is too costly. There may be many reasons to not want a certain coach-- but LSU can afford to pay fair market value and then some for the right coach. Of course, value is dependent upon winning!!!

If LSU was willing to spend $10 million to buy out Miles, they aren't intending to f*** up the next hire by being too cheap to pay for the guy they want.

to where? LSU is a top 5 or 10 job in the country and those jobs don't come open very often, especially when the previous HC was incredibly successful at recruiting and leaving behind a loaded roster

I'm genuinely curious how far in your arse you had to reach to pull this out.
Jimbo has recruited about as well as anyone in the country. Consistently a top 5 class as well as top 5 in players in the NFL.

For $7 million a year plus a $5 million buyout - I would fricking hope so, at the very least.
