It's not.

Sadly there is no solution. People today don't have the patience to sit still for 3+ hours. You can sell beer and do other things, but overall it's really not going to make that big of a difference. The solutions for shortening the game are never going to happen because tv stations are never going to go ok we're going to take out a third of our commercials. If you try to change the games rules it just means more time for tv commercials. Sadly this is the culture we live in today where people have no patience and would rather be doing 100 things instead of focusing on one thing.

early games so people won't worry about getting home to late.

Plus, as I discovered this weekend, with traffic so bad, you better eat before the game b/c you are limited after if you don't get out of traffic until 1030pm

Always amaze to me why people would get dressed, drive to campus, sit around walk to the stadium sit for a half then leave. A total mystery

bullshite. There are two options to keep people in the stands. Lock the gate or sell beer. Thats it.

Early games are even more of a problem because people don't want to just go to the game. People on the east side of the stadium get baked in the sun and people don't want to lose time on their precious tailgating. Traffic would turn into a much worse problem during the day. Trust me the atmosphere in Tiger stadium during the day is much worse than it is at night. I assure you just as many people would be leaving during day games.
