Who knew it would become as big as it is now. Something else.

Watched it at Ivars as a college junior. It was the first national title LSU had won in anything significant in over 30 years.

I had resigned myself at a young age to the fact that my school would never ever win a championship ever in anything.

Here we are 34 years later with 7 baseball titles, 3 football titles, and throw in gymnastics and women's basketball just for fun. We truly are blessed. Not to mention all the track and field titles

Take a look in the mirror like me for a reminder

Hell, I have 2 kids older than I was in 1991.

I was there. Even got on tv during one of the night games. I was between 11th and 12th grade. What a bomb Mouton hit against fla.

I remember watching the finals. When I had heard LSU was playing in the CWS I remember thinking, “LSU plays football. How are they playing baseball?” I was 10.

Wichita's closer, Jaime Bluma went on to play one season for the Royals. In 2013, he lost part of a finger helping to rescue two small children involved in a bad car crash. There's a podcast out there where he talks about it and playing for Wichita.
