Chrixis, has stamp missed blocks? Please reference plays. It appears you are saying he has missed blocks. Lemme know which game...got em all on dvr.
Not trying to say he's quinn Johnson but I haven't seen him screw up yet.
I know I wouldn't want to take him on even though I'm a big boy.

I think a goalline FB that can get the job done is already in place.
Stamp brings the pain... when he makes contact. Unfortunately, he whiffs... a lot.

He's missed quite a few.
Last week they ran an option outside with him leading, he completely whiffed on the backer who I think either made the tackle or forced an early pitch and the gain was short.
I can't remember every single play, but I've seen him miss quite a few.
He's made some good ones too.

I have missed this whiffing, if its true. Is he closing his eyes? I just have seen it. If he's hitting a guy and holding him up, he's doing his job.
Someone who is regarded as a hard hitter usually likes contact and doesn't miss blocks

it's more he gets the read on who to block a step late, causing him to be a little behind of who he's supposed to block...
he's not terrible, never said he was, but to say we couldn't EASILY upgrade that position is incorrect, at best...

3:50 left in the 3rd quarter of the WV game. A few plays later you will see Miles talking to him on the sideline just before the 1st and goal play at about the 1:45 mark.
Ask and you shall receive...

Breaking facemasks is not a valid measure of a fullback's ability. I have nothing against Stampley, but he is not a good fullback. He has no agility whatsoever and can't adjust to make blocks hence the whiffing

First off let me say I love Stampley; however, He hits hard, not scared of contact, but I have stood next to the guy and if he is 5'7" I would be surprised..also only about 225lbs and very short legs (causing him not to have a quick burst to the Point of Attack). Because of this size, he has to BRING IT every play. Because of this it is an easy little target to dodge in the hole, causing him to whiff a lot..but a guy every coach wants..because he'll run into a brick wall and not ask why..
Quinn was 6'1" with a huge square shoulder frame, 250+, wasn't an easy person to dodge and he didn't have to go full speed to make a block, he could break down, size up, then pop the LB'r and turn them..
I played FB for a small college before I lost my knees, even though I spent more time on my back than stomach (and def can relate to the size/whiff issue)..I somewhat know what I am talking about..
